RdC — Restaurant in Otago

Went there not that long ago and did not enjoy my time. For one, the individual who served me lacked customer competence and was flat out rude. Although the hot drinks were reasonably priced at $4.50, the volume and taste was lacking. My mochaccino tasted like it was straight out of an instant machine while my girlfriend's oat milk hot chocolate tasted like warm, liquid oats.

Furthermore, tables had uncollected dirty dishes and were generally dirty. I also did not enjoy the aesthetic of the place as inside felt stuffy while outside felt strange (probably due to the dark alley you have to walk down to get there).

Would I go here again? No. There is many better coffee providers around who would treat their customers and environment with respect...

This hidden gem is our favourite place to stop by. Who doesn't like a chill cafe with a little courtyard. It's very Dunedin, unpretentious and authentic and the food is made with love and creativity. RdC is an absolute favourite of mine. Tucked away behind George St (accessible via a cute little alleyway next to the Hello World travel agents) it is an oasis in the city.
