Group (16) of older locals booked a table in late January. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Service was ok to start with - we ordered entrees (for about half of our group), mains and drinks. Entrees were served - small and pricey but tasty. Mains were about to be served when 2 of our group were told no Halloumi for the Halloumi dish can do Feta instead!!! What - who wants pan fried Feta! We complained - why were we not told when ordered or at least when entrees served - there was no one else to have ordered it. Suggested they pop down a block to the supermarket. No. Asked to speak to head chef. No. The 2 guests declined to order mains as at that stage other members of our group were already eating their mains!! Waitress then had the cheek to ask if we were all enjoying our meals! Very unpleasant. She became curt, cleared the table - no offer of dessert, coffee etc or more drinks. On paying we asked to speak to manager only to be told by the waitress that she was the manager and that nothing was going to be done about the no Halloumi - not even a real apology!!!. I phoned the next day to speak to the duty manager who asked the complaint be in writing. I emailed. Managers response was "I have addressed my restaurant and kitchen team regarding this shortfall in an effort to stop this from happening again." Not really good enough - 2 of our party didn't eat that night and the others felt let down. Last month during my visit, I waited around 30 minutes for a simple pasta order without any explanation or update. When I inquired about the delay, she responded in a rude tone, claiming they were busy with room service. There was no apology, just arrogance. To make things worse, even basic gestures like pouring water were done carelessly and with visible attitude. While other staff members were generally courteous, this one individual left such a negative impression that I would never return to this restaurant again. I stayed at this hotel for five days and unfortunately had no other convenient dining options, otherwise I would have avoided this place altogether. Read moreWe were looking forward to our dinner at Nosh and it was a birthday celebration. I felt quite let down on receiving a stern faced attitude from the waitress who did not smile once. She was abrupt and just rude. When removing plates cutlery etc.. she did not say 'excuse me'. It was a real let down for us as we were in a light hearted celebratory mood. If you are in the HOSPITALITY industry then you should be much more amenable and friendly to customers. We must've spent over $400 at your restaurant and did not receive the attention and service that we should have.
