Patti's & Cream Diner — Restaurant in South Island

Visited this establishment a week or so ago for dessert. The ice cream and brownie was very good however the cheesecake could of been better. Can definitely recommend the peanut butter thickshake that was to die for. Sadly we were left with a rather sour taste in our mouths specifically from service. Our order was initially taken by a very nice and approachable young lady who I believed was new. However it was the lady I believe her name was Anna or something similar. She essentially threw our items on the table, didn't engage, walked past multiple dirty tables and didn't acknowledge them, her facial expressions the entire time looked like she didn't want to be there and what blew us away was the fact she'd be serving but then as soon as tourists (namely asians) came in she would refuse to serve them and get the new girl to serve them. She was rolling her eyes when they tried to speak and frankly she shouldn't be working in...

My husband and I recently enjoyed one of their beef burgers and their special Poutine which was fresh on the specials menu that day. The meals were delicious and prepared with love by the team.

Then came the hard choice of which ice cream flavours to enjoy for dessert. We finally decided on the carrot cake, donut raspberry ripple and the 3 choc. All were creamy and decadent but the 3 choc was by far one of the best chocolate ice creams we have ever had!

You could taste the quality of the chocolate used and is one of my new favourites for sure. I can't wait to try some of the other seasonal flavours too!

Really cool spot! With heaps of potential! Ice cream is awesome. they even make their own waffle cones, nice to see a place putting in some real effort! Bischoff ice cream 10/10

Staff were really nice and went above and beyond to congratulate us on our new born with some cookies and personalised note on a card, lovely gesture! Made us feel even more special!

also had a BBQ Burger, which had a decent flavour, I felt the burger to patty ratio was a little off, too much bun. fries are ok, could be a little more seasoned and cooked a little more. Jalapeño bites, again great to see something homemade, just thought the blue cheese sauce could do with some work.
