Richard Pearse Tavern — Restaurant in South Island

We had been waiting for near on an hour for our food. We had a 3 and a half year old with us (place was not busy)server comes up and informs us that one meal we ordered in question they couldn't do. Wouldn't you think they should've said something when the order was first placed ? 1 hour and 30 minutes later they decide to bring food. The service from staff is piss poor , nicest way to put it. If someone is not drinking and clearly stating they are here for a meal dont insist on seeing I.D when they are clearly old enough... tattooed may I add. Definitely not...

Went for lunch today I ordered our drinks and meals on arrival about 20 min later my wife's meal arrived she ate her meal which was warm at best. Still I sat there waiting for my meal I went to the bar and asked if I was going to be feed. The cook had not even started the meal (new cook apparently) NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I got my money back for my forgotten meal but had to go back to work with no food. So be careful when dining at this place you may not get feed if this...

This was the place not to be on holiday the bar woman (assuming the manager)who approached my wife and I in a disgusting manner was then told this was not professional and manners would be appreciated was then interigating my wife of who she was, to show as business runners we showed her gratitude by passing her a tip to make her feel better and she threw it in the bin.
