Absolutely awesome waffles, tasted amazing and the coffee is pretty good too, staff are lovely. but unfortunately massive let down. I did the - let's make it course which in the brochure tells you.. Make a selection of beeswax candles, honey soap, beeswax wraps AND beeswax leather polish to keep and take home with you. Choose from our range of candles/soap moulds, bases and ingredients to create your own masterpieces from natural ingredients, while you work on your crafts we'll use our beautiful steam-Powered copper still to produce essential oil from freshly cut branches of local species such as Douglas fir and Manuka.
I booked online 2 days prior to my visit, so there was plenty of notice.
When you read online and in the brochure, it gives the idea that you make all products to take home! Now I wasn't thinking 60liter tubs of stuff just like a sample of them. Also when it cost $60 to do I thought that's what you would get.. I tried booking a spin class for the honey, online and it said booked out. There was hardly anybody in the store at the time and when I was doing my wraps a spin class started, so I'm not sure maybe a glitch online. My appointment was at 2pm and I was in the "class" for a max of 15mins not happy with the price I paid for the outcome i received. Could have brought a make your own eco wrap box for $40.00 and made a lifetime suply. Hopefully this review...

I signed up for the Combo Beekeeping and Honey Spinning Experience and would recommend it in a heartbeat. The beekeepers were knowledgeable and passionate about bees and shared so many unique, interesting, funny, and unforgettable facts about these tiny friends. We got suited up, saw the hives, got to hold frames, and felt safe the entire time. Then we learned about the honey harvesting process and watched some frames being spun to extract the honey without removing the honey comb and at the end we even got to take home a jar of honey with customized labels that had our pictures on them! It was such a personalized experience and the most perfect souvenir to take home.
There are so many options for other experiences, too. You can make beeswax wraps, soaps, candles, skincare, and probably more. There's honey mead tastings and a cafe with drinks and food, too. There's something for everyone! You can even sample different honeys from all over New Zealand that each have their own distinct flavors, and many are from flowers that are native to New Zealand so they're very unique to the area. You can't get a much more specialized and local souvenir! I would highly recommend a visit and, if you have the time, booking an...

We absolutely loved our time at Buzz Stop. We arranged our be a beekeeper & spin your own honey tour a month or so in advance for the days after our wedding in queenstown, and had to move the days around a couple of times due to weather. Rosie was great to deal with and was excellent about helping us get in at a good time.
Nick took us for our bee a beekeeper tour and to spin our own honey - and it was amazing. We liked the thought of bees beforehand but afterwards we are super keen on the idea of having some bees of our own! Nick is super knowledgeable about bees and beekeeping and taught us all about beekeeping and bees; and while we were in our beekeeping suits, we got to hold some bees (theyâre really fluffy), open up hives and find a good frame full of honey.
At the end of that, we got to spin our own honey and got a personalized label on our jars of honey to take home. A really great memory of our special time in queenstown.
We really enjoyed it and had we booked earlier we would definitely have come back if we werenât flying out the next day. Every time we come to queenstown we will be...
