Dokdo — Restaurant in Upper Harbour

everything about this restaurant is incredible! from the food, to the service - this place is a must go! we had a 7 people gathering and got lots of food and got to try out tons of dishes. here’s the breakdown:

the side dishes - really nice and traditional. refills are available!

sashimi fish - a couple assortments of fish, presented beautifully.

raw beef sashimi - soooo good! one of our favs. the egg yolk was the cherry on top!

steamed pork - wasn’t our fav, but a really good sharing meal because everyone could choose their preferences in their wrap. an expensive dish though - $96.

seafood pancake - good good good! sauce goes so well and edge bits are nice and crispy!

overall great dining experience, even the owners gave us complimentary drinks which was so kind! loveliest owners and amazing vibe, will totally recommend...

The best Korean restaurant in Auckland! Been here more than once!

My partner is Korean, and she tells me this is exactly like the food from home for her -- completely authentic. I couldn't agree any more, it's delicious!

As a western customer, I felt incredibly welcome and the service is the best of the best. Fresh cold water in the fridge is self service and the complimentary side dishes are all tasty and I even discovered new things I thought I wouldn't have liked! Every dish is presented well, and the taste is beautiful every single time.

We arrived the place at 4:30pm, pretty empty there. the guy at the desk ignored us when we walked in. I asked him where we can sit, he said anywhere. When we looked the menu, there was a group arriving, we ordered the dishes and waited and waited, no water or side dishes was served, when I realised the food was served to the other table where the group arrived later than us, I talked to the owner, she said they made a mistake however if I am not happy with it, I could leave.
