This is probably the worst dining experience since I came to NZ
Tonight 4 of us, with 2 baby, one is newborn around 3 months old.
Our little one(New born)started crying at around 8 pm , and we have tried everything to clam her down by walking her, hugging her, but it didn’t settle her down, then the mom took her to one side of the restaurant to do the breastfeeding, all of sudden the owner came in side, talked to my partner, saying baby will disturb the customer if she keeps crying.
1.the whole restaurant was like empty, only 3 table (Included us)other two is like 4 people there
2.How could you talk to your customer in such way, we have been to so many different restaurant, none of them ever say stuff like this, and treat their customers.
3.We all tried hard to settle the baby down and we planned to leave after breastfeeding, but the way owner talk to us is like if she keeps crying, we need to leave straight away.
4.I have been working in hospitality for nearly 10 years, I am a head chef in a large restaurant, it is my first time EVER to see this so unkind & unprofessional customer service
5.The mom got really upset when she got told this way, we will not let this go, we will continually speak to the council or whatever the department. This is just not the KIWI...
Read morerandomly found this place the other night, thought just give it a go. In my opinion, korean BBQ is all linked with smoky and noisy dinning environment, everytime, you comr back with smelly clothes. But it is totally different at this place. the deco is much higher standard, clean, quiet, dish arrangement is comfortable, not crowded, nice ambient lightings. There are way more choices of side dishes than most korean bbq places. The flavours are more gentel than the regulars, which I found more acceptable for locals. Meat selection is a bit small, but the meat is fresh, not much sea food, but it was ok for me. A good range of snacks and desserts too. By the way, very clean toilets, which is a great indicator of how clean their kitchen would be like. It shows the owner is very focused the cleaness at very detailed level, huge bonus. The owner is very friendly. He told us the restaurant has been years, which is surprising, it is a bit pity, its location is not in a dinning complex with more public exposure. Honestly, I believe it deserves higher popularity. loved the place, price is reasonable, food is nice, clean and quiet place for gathering eith friends and family. Highly recommended to try it out if you like...
Read moreI visited The Buffer with my family yesterday for the first time in years, hoping for a pleasant meal. I started with one of my favourites — cold soba noodles — but was shocked by the strange, fizzy and sour taste of the broth, almost as if it had fermented or even had carbonation in it. I quietly asked my family, and they all noticed the same thing.
We were the first customers of the day, and I found it odd that the soba broth container was already only half full. I discreetly informed the staff, who replaced the container without any explanation or apology — which I found quite disappointing, especially given this is something people are putting into their bodies.
I told my family I was sorry for bringing them here and that we would never return. We quietly finished our meal, paid, and left without making a scene.
Later that night, I woke up with a stomach ache, and I couldn’t stop thinking about what had happened. Any restaurant serving food should take product safety and freshness seriously. If they can’t manage that, they don’t deserve to be in business.
To those living in Auckland — I strongly recommend avoiding this place. Some things are just not...
