Our recent visit to this gem was made even more special as our friends, who have been dining here for over two decades, chose it as the perfect place to reconnect.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with just the right balance of authenticity and comfort. It’s clear that Kun Pun has perfected the art of creating a welcoming space where every visit feels like a celebration.
We started our culinary journey with the Chef’s Special Combo Starters, which were a delightful medley of flavors and textures. Every bite was perfectly crafted, showcasing the chef’s skill and creativity.
For mains, we couldn’t resist trying: • The Snapper, cooked to perfection with a crispy skin and tender, flavorful meat. • The Squid, which was fresh, tender, and seasoned beautifully. • The Chicken dish, bursting with rich, aromatic flavors that left us wanting more. • The classic Pad Thai, a standout dish with the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and tangy notes.
Every dish was a symphony of flavors that highlighted the restaurant’s commitment to quality and tradition. The presentation was impeccable, and the service was attentive without being intrusive.
To complement this feast, we had Cold Thai Tea, which was refreshingly sweet and smooth—truly a perfect way to round out the meal.
The service was attentive and friendly, and it’s clear why this restaurant has such a loyal following. Kun Pun Thai is more than just a restaurant; it’s a place where tradition, taste, and hospitality come together to create unforgettable experiences.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere. We can’t...
Read moreToday, I had a very unpleasant experience with the owner of this restaurant. The owner’s attitude was extremely rude and disrespectful. Here’s what happened: I went to a nearby bubble tea shop to buy a drink and have dinner with my friend. I accidentally parked in a spot that belonged to the restaurant because the sign was not very clear. When I came back, I found a handwritten note on my car in bold black letters saying, “Park here again, and we’ll tow your car.” Just as I was about to leave, I encountered the restaurant owner. She sternly told me that if I parked there again, she would tow my car. I was very apologetic and working in hospitality myself, I explained that I understand her perspective and won’t park in their dedicated spots again, unless I am their customer (which I intended to be, it seemed like a nice place to eat. To my surprise, she began to verbally abuse be, raising her voice saying, “You’re not even a customer here, how dare you park here,” and continued to threaten that if I parked there again, she would tow my car. Her attitude was excessively rude, and her expression was very harsh. Even though I apologized and explained it was unintentional, her behaviour made me feel very uncomfortable, uneasy, and a bit scared too. Because of her attitude, I certainly won’t be dining at her restaurant again. Moreover, although I was in the wrong at first, it does not excuse a person to bully another, especially after an authentic apology; and so I wanted to share my experience with...

A good thai option in the Albany area. The restaurant was very busy with a lot of people getting takeaway. I highly recommend you make a reservation if you plan to come here for dinner. I'm not a big fan of a lighting inside. It definitely has a more warm feeling, but as a result, it just makes you feel tired
Chefs selection mixed entree - 78/100 All 4 options were great. I definitely recommend it if you want to try a few items. They seemed very fresh, potentially all made in-house, and tasted good.
Thai Green Curry - 82/100 As you expect from a good thai green curry, khun pun thai does this well. There is nothing to complain about. It is a good option to get if you are a curry fan.
Moo Kha Ta - 65/100 This dish has a sweet and sour based sauce, which tasted alright. I can't say I am the biggest fan as it is a very sweet sauce. The problem that I had here was that the pork was extremely dry and chewy. It just wasn't very enjoyable to eat at all. It deserves a 60, but the overall flavour was good. It was just lacking in the cooking of the pork. Hopefully, this is something they...
