Chicking Albany — Restaurant in Upper Harbour

Very bad experience. Been there twice. First time so slow and second time absolutely dreadful. Ordered two separate meals for two diners. Both had regular potato and gravy. Was given one. It was bigger. I went back to counter and they said they don’t have small size and we can share. Ridiculous. Who shares a container with someone else. Gave us another potato We both also had chips. Both were cold. I went back and asked for the manager. Told her and asked if they could please make them again. She just stared at me and then said “you will need to give me 10 mins”. No sorry or any apology. She then took ages and must have microwaved the potato and gray to near on boiling and provided some new chips. Took so long our burgers were now half cold. She slappped them down on the table with no “sorry about this or sorry ladies enjoy your lunch” didn’t say one word nor take away the cold food. This person should not be a manager if that is how she is representing the business. Disgraceful. We will of course never go back. Food is not cheap. Don’t waste your hard...

Probably the worst meal I have ever had because I couldn't even eat it. My burger, which I specifically asked for a non-spicy one, almost blew my bloody head off and I had to chug at least half a 2 litre bottle of milk. The weird little chicken nugget things were drier than the sahara desert and felt like nails scraping down my neck. The potato and gravy pftttttt I have no words for that. The gravy was pretty much water with some colouring in it and the mash could have easily been wet sand. The chips were the only thing I ate because they tasted like maccas fries, yet they came out cold. Honestly would rather have eaten my own hair. Wish I could give this place -10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 stars. Save your money and go to maccas or even the st pierres...

I don't usually leave negative reviews but something needs to be said about this experience. This was my first time visiting Chicking and will be the last. From the moment I walked in it was a complete disaster. Massive wait times and they were clearly extremely understaffed. The girl at the front was doing her best, but she was clearly new and was left to face it alone. The Manager had abandoned the restaurant for a trip to Pack n Save, as they had run out of burger buns. Customers were demanding refunds but the poor girl on the checkout didn't know how to process them. After 45mins I finally received my order which was stone cold. I didn't complain to the girl, infact I told her she was doing an amazing job because she was. This place is poorly managed and clearly doesn't care about their workers. I will not support a business that treats...
