Ti Tree Cafe: A Paradigmatic Paroxysm of Piquant Perfection

Once in a lunar blue eclipse, one stumbles upon a culinary cornucopia, a gastronomic grotto so enchantingly divine that time itself appears to halt in reverence. Lo and behold, the Ti Tree Cafe, a veritable Xanadu of breakfast braggadocio, an Arcadia of epicurean enchantment, wherein I recently indulged in the Big Breakfast.

A symphony of sizzling succulence, the Big Breakfast left me positively aghast with its sheer amplitude of flavor. The homemade touch caressed each morsel, enveloping the palate in a warm embrace that could only be described as a gustatory grand slam. The professionally-crafted relish, a ravishing rendezvous of tang and zest, collided with the buttery mushrooms, an umami avalanche of epic proportions. And the lightly toasted ciabatta? A revelation, a textural tango of crust and crumb, that cavorted gracefully with its more robust counterparts.

The pièce de résistance, however, was the smoky, perfectly crisp bacon. A veritable siren song of swine, each bite was a transcendent tryst between salty, savory, and smoky, a three-pronged tour de force that left me reeling in rapturous delight. To call it bacon would be a disservice; nay, it was a celestial manifestation of porcine perfection.

At first glance, the pricing may appear to be nestled on the higher end of the spectrum, but fret not, dear reader, for the value derived from this tantalizing tableau of taste easily justifies the expenditure. The presentation, a visual feast in its own right, only served to further solidify this sentiment.

Yet, it would be remiss of me not to extol the virtues of the Ti Tree Cafe's ambience, a dizzying display of artistic prowess and architectural whimsy. The walls were adorned with a veritable gallery of intriguing art, from painted embroidery circles that evoked visions of suns suspended in a chromatic cosmos, to traditional paintings that whispered tantalizing tales of yore.

This artistic wonderland, coupled with the odd levels that bifurcated the dining areas, coalesced into a realm of comfortable coziness, a sanctuary of serenity wherein patrons could luxuriate in a reprieve from the frenetic world beyond. The Ti Tree Cafe, in its artful amalgamation of ambiance and aliment, transports its visitors to an Eden of edible ecstasy, a nirvana of noshing nestled within the cacophony of the mundane.

To dine at the Ti Tree Cafe is to embark upon a euphoric expedition through the very essence of human creativity and culinary prowess. It is a journey I implore you to undertake, for it is a tale that shall be etched into the annals of your memory, a gastronomic odyssey that shall reverberate within the very core of your being. The Ti Tree Cafe, dear reader, is nothing short of an ethereal escapade that will leave you reeling with burstiness and perplexity, a testament to the boundless potential of...

Average Food with a side of indigestion….. avoid this place. We had the misfortune to eat here as we thought this cafe had charm. We couldn’t have been more wrong. This cafe, makes Waihi look bad. After my entire family had ordered food, and paid the exorbitant price for the quite average fare, the cook (who I believe is also the owner) came to our table and abused us for allowing my four year old child and husband to eat a snack from elsewhere. We were apologetic but didn’t get much of a chance to speak, the cook was loud abusive and literally foaming at the mouth. My child became scared so my elderly father left his order and took him away with my husband following. The cook followed my husband outside to further abuse him. Once he had finished that he came back inside and had a go at my mother and me. This was the worst experience for my entire family we have had travelling throughout the world. The staff all looked scared of his wrath and I suspect this may be a...

This was a lovely cosey place - nice garden atmosphère. Very accommodating staff ... however really disappointed with the baking. Not sure if they had problems with the oven or something as I ordered a plain scone, but it was a bit raw. If you picked out a piece and squeezed, it was like dough. The lady was really nice and offered money back or replacement. I decided to try the blueberry muffin, but that too was doughy and very heavy. However, my husband had the date scone and that was fine, but his other baking, i think à brioche was very heavy and solid as well. We noticed on another table they had ordered 3 baking items and they too were left. Not sure if it was an off day ... don’t want to discredit this cafe, as other aspects were really good, but I can only review on...

It was a charming cafe. Great service with homy and soulful atmosphere. They are serving short order meals and a la carté foods. It is close to other shops in town so it is very convenient for a short walk to grab a nice coffee and other refreshments. The dining area is decorated with vibrant and impressionistic paintings from local artists. P.S. I wonder if those grapes in the front fence might be ready for picking when i come and visit again this lovely cafe.🤗

The only place in Waihi with a private outdoor courtyard is a huge plus on a sunny day. The BEST coffee in town hands down. Exceptional brunches, love the cabinet salad options and the cakes and slices are on point. The staff have a great understanding of food allergies and are happy to adapt menu items to suit your needs. If I have friends or family from out of town, TiTree is 100% our go to spot. 10/10 recommend

Titree is our always go-to cafe in Waihi. We love the kai (so healthy, yummy, hearty salads that are a whole lunch or (takeaway for later) dinner and massive scones). But most of all we love the sunny courtyard and the wonderful heritage building with local art. And in winter by the fire..♥ chatting with locals. They know your name and your coffee! 20/10!!!! Long live Titree cafe! Don't change a bit!
