Bakehouse Cafe Grill and Roast — Restaurant in Waitākere Ranges

Edit : We decided to go back and give it another try but this time we found hair in our food and the guy serving was stating that it wasn’t their hair. Well when all your staff have black hair and the people eating both have light hair I mean it’s doesn’t take much to put 2 &2 together now does it Edit: Review changed to one star as lady didn’t get our order right at counter and when we told the guy who took our food he told the lady and she was arguing saying that we order a 26 not a27… like bruh we know what we ordered. And while we were eating our meals, the lady kept coming out into dining area and staring at us making us feel uncomfortable.

Normally a good place to eat, we love the nachos off the menu but lately we have noticed that they have been microwaving the food to the point where the chips are soggy. If you order off the menu listen for the microwave before you get your food cause I noticed that most peoples orders had been microwaved in...

This is a definite GEM of a place!! If you are in the Kelston/Glen Eden area and want a hot, fulfilling, delicious and affordable meal then head this way. I drive from Henderson heights ON PURPOSE because I know I'm always going to get great value and I am never disappointed. We often go here as a family (Me, my hubby, 3 adult sons and my daughter in law who is vegetarian) always always eat well here. Example: Scotch fillet Steak (cooked to your liking), chips and salad $16.90....this is our favourite meal and you would pay $35-$45 in a restaurant for this. Delicious BBQ Pork Ribs, chips and salad $14 Fish burger is soooo good because the fish is good quality and the batter is golden and crispy.... Honestly, I can go on and on about the food as there is soooo much more (Roast meals, Burger meals and delicious crispy chicken) PLUS, The staff are sooo lovely and efficient, they make it that much more...

I found a dead roach in my lamb roast meal last Sunday 19th Feb., half way eating my meal I saw something odd I thought it was jisj a piece of lamb skin but then I looked closer it was actually a dead roach..it had been underneath the meat. Straight away I felt disgusted. I showed my partner and it put him of his meal as well, I didn't get a chance to take a photo of it because my partner just wanted our money back and get out of there. I overheoverheard my partner telling the chef that he was not happy so the chef said they are clean it could've been from the meat company,. So yeah Just letting yous guys know my experience at bakehouse. Just Heads up., be careful and always look at your meal you can never know...
