I visited Kathmandu Kitchen with a couple of friends, and it turned out to be an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. We ordered four dishes, and each one exceeded our expectations.
We began with the Vegetarian Soup, which was the perfect way to warm up on a chilly day. It had a wonderful balance of fresh vegetables, a refreshing flavor, and just the right consistency – simple yet deeply comforting.
For appetizers, we tried the Manchurian Dry and Veg Schezwan Noodles. The portions were generous and more than satisfying, and the flavors were spot-on for authentic Indo-Chinese cuisine. Having tried several restaurants in the city, I can confidently say that the Indo-Chinese flavors here rank easily among my top three favorites.
For the main course, we opted for the classic Kadhai Paneer with rice, which was cooked to perfection – rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
What truly elevated the experience was the personal touch from the owner, who also happens to be the head chef. He personally came over to our table to interact with us, ensuring everything was to our liking – a gesture that speaks volumes about the passion and care behind the food.
Overall, we were thoroughly impressed – delicious food, generous portions, and warm hospitality all made for a wonderful dining experience. Without a doubt, we’ll be...
Read moreYesterday I have ordered over phone for take-away, there was a lady who took my order and asked me to come after 15-20 mins. When I reached there she was busy on phone so waited. Meanwhile two other customers came, as soon as she finished, she attained another customer who came after me and asked me to wait. After reaching restaurant I have waited almost 10 mins, when I interrupted asked her that I already ordered over phone before half an hour. That time she told me that they didn’t make my order since what I ordered, chef is not cooking that dish. She could have told me when took order or confirm with the chef before taking order. When I told her she could have informed me since I drive 15-20 km just for take-away order. She was arguing that she was trying my number but I didn’t get any call, if she would told me the same while talking order or after confirming with chef, I would saved my time as well as petrol expenses.
If they are not cooking any dish why they have in the menu, even I checked online menu before giving order on the phone. And even staff need to know what is out of order, or need to confirm chef before talking order.
The worst...
Read moreJust bought some take away, I had forgotten to add papadum. I asked the guy at the counter who looked uninterested in his job told me that they have run out of papapums. Really? Can you atleast check with the kitchen staff? He was also suppose to give me a call back once the take away was ready. Call never came, I had ring back again to confirm that. Very sloppy service Edit: same guy called not apologize but tell me what I can and cannot write review about. Our family has been ordering from this restaurant for many years and my feedback is to improve not to criticize. We like the food but the guy on the counter has no manners and he calls himself manager. He issued no apology for lying about papadums and basically called me tell me I should not write that he seems uninterested in his work. He agreed that he lied that there were papadums but he did not ask kitchen. We always buy papadum because my son likes it and have never ever asked for free. Made me super annoyed when he called, I still free he is uninterested in his job otherwise...
