This is in the spot where Jewel of India used to be at the city campus of the University of Auckland. Cheap meals with the daily special for $7.90c which includes an appetiser, main, salad and dessert. I'm not vegan at all but I did enjoy the vegan spin on a Mexican staple and the vegan "nuggets". I would go back for sure and their samosa ($4.00) is great portion wise and also delish. Prices have gone up so have been ordering the smaller plate. The salad is basic and basically large leaves. Would be better a better experience if it was chopped up or a cucumber salad with tomatoes would be ideal. My fave is still the vegan nuggets and samosa. Need to try their chips at some point! Bought lunch from here recently: samosa, vegan nuggets and a semolina dessert. The nuggets were very oily and sometimes a bit burnt, samosa was delish as normal and wasn't a fan of the canned pineapple in the dessert at all - tasted terrible. Sliced almonds would be way better in terms of texture and nutrition. Staff member is always very nice.

1000/10. As an avid meat eater, I was tempted to go to the other stores but the name caught my eye and aligned with me - “conscious eats”. Decided to give it a try and I have never made love to a meal like that before, particularly a meatless meal. I couldn’t stop talking about it afterwards. Sooooo good and tasty it was one of those rare moments I realised I actually don’t need meat after all. I genuinely think this put me on a higher vibration throughout the rest of my day, topped it off with some mango lassi and that felt like a smoothie which was perfect. I love the textures, flavour, and a mix of fried things like the veggie nuggets and potato fritters. Cookies were not bad as they’re vegan too. I genuinely felt so fulfilled afterwards it was crazy. Best spot wish we had this where I live. Good price too <$10 for a meal. Great and friendly service you can tell it’s made w love and also made fresh.

The food was so lovely! It was refreshing to have a vegan option available at uni. The service all the way down to the good nourishing food. So much variety and color in the food. Plus, it is so cheap! We got vegan chocolate chip cookies which were yum with the chocolate banana pudding! Also, the veggie nuggets and potato fritter paired with the chickpea curry was so fulfilling and good! I am not vegan and it was still so good to have as a break from meat. I can’t express how grateful I am to have had this meal ❤️ the food was flavourful and the service was great too which added to my experience! Thank you!
