Great Location and Comfortable Stay for Couples or Small Families We had a wonderful two-night stay at this hotel, which I’d highly recommend for couples or even families with a baby. The room had a cozy, apartment-like feel with a clean and tidy ambiance. It’s the kind of space that immediately feels like home, with a comfortable bed and plenty of room to move around. The kitchenette was a pleasant surprise—equipped with utensils, pans, and everything you might need to cook a small meal. It’s perfect for guests who want a bit of flexibility when it comes to dining. Whether you’re preparing a quick breakfast or a simple dinner, the setup works really well. The location is fantastic. It’s very close to Auckland University, just a short walk to Queen Street and other key attractions. Plus, it’s conveniently near the state highway, making it easy to navigate around the city. On the ground floor, there’s a small bar near the reception with a happy hour from 5 pm to 7 pm. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to experience it ourselves, but it’s a nice touch if you’re in the mood to unwind after a day of exploring. The housekeeping was consistent, with the bed and bathroom tidied up every day and fresh towels provided. We really appreciated the attention to detail and the level of cleanliness throughout our stay. The price was also quite reasonable, especially considering it was during the busy Christmas holidays. We paid $165 for our two-night stay, which felt like great value for the comfort and convenience offered. The staff were great! The Filipino receptionist during the day was very accommodating and helpful, and the Indian receptionist at night was also very friendly and attentive. The staff you encounter in the hallways or in the lift are always ready to assist. Since the lift requires your room key card to operate (and sometimes it doesn’t read the card right away), they’ll help you with that. Most of the staff are Filipino, and they always greet you with the warmest smiles. As for parking, it’s valet-style. You park in front of the hotel, hand over your car key to the receptionist, and they’ll park it in the basement for you. The cost is $40 per day. One thing to note is that, during our visit, it was quite busy, and there was only one receptionist and one valet staff member available. This made the process a bit slower than expected, and we had to wait a while to get our car when we called ahead. If you’re someone who doesn’t like waiting for your car, this might not be the most convenient option for you, as there are other parking buildings in the area that are cheaper and potentially quicker. Overall, though, we had a great stay, and the hotel is a solid choice for those looking for a comfortable, well-located base in Auckland. Just be mindful of the valet parking process if you prefer a quicker experience.

I cannot tell you enough how horrible this place is. We arrived to Auckland an hour early, I had been trying to call them and ask if we could check in early - no answer. When we arrived there were four people on the reception, I then asked if we could check in early and she told us we needed to wait as the room wasn’t ready. She was more than happy to try and take our deposit at that time though. We opted to pay the cash deposit but she still insisted on taking my debit card details? Once we returned we were signing the car parking waiver to which my partner questioned their liability (kindly I may add) and she returned extremely snarky with “you can park somewhere else if you like” among other things; I was shocked. We still had some bags in the car to which I asked her to leave the car upfront while we quickly went to the room. Up the elevator we went, quickly put down our bags and straight back down the grab the rest of our things. The car was gone. Quite frustrated at this point I said that I’d asked her to leave the car there and again a shocking response of “No, you didn’t”. We had booked a room with a balcony.. just look at the photo for yourself 🙄 We had lost some airpods which we remembered being in the car, I went downstairs and asked if they could help in any way - their response was that their drivers were 100% trustworthy and would never take anything out of the car. I had simply asked them if there was any way they could help, I didn’t accuse them or the driver once but was again meet with a power grab. Upon our check out, paid the parking handed over the keys etc and was waiting for the cash deposit to be returned. The lady just stood there looking and me like I was dumb and let me know that was everything. I let her know that we had paid a cash deposit. How could that not have shown on their computer system or something?? Anyway, they handed over the cash deposit without checking the room or anything so I’m not sure what the purpose of that is. Overall, the room was average, bed comfortable, bathroom tiny and obviously the balcony. The hallways had a musty smell. Very close to town, not even a 5minute walk which was amazing. But the staff are so rude and off-putting and rooms definitely need to be updated, would absolutely never stay here again nor recommend it to anyone.

You would be better off avoiding this place and spending a little extra on a nicer hotel such as Sudima (considering the nightly rate and $250 deposit combined). I stayed on the 17th floor. The good: - Shower was decent. Nice temperature and toiletries provided were nice smelling. Clean towels etc all good - Plush blanket provided in the room was comforting - Excellent location and view of the harbour was beautiful - Room was close to the elevator but not too noisy for me - Hotel was generally tidy in the public spaces. The bad: - Pictures of the room I booked were different to what was actually provided. Please do not deceive potential guests! - $250 for a deposit should be made clearer on booking or on a sign in the reception area - No deposit refund within 48hrs as reception stated (it has nearly been a week, I am still waiting) - I have called regarding the bond refund, they tell me to email! They have replied just over 24hr and it has nearly been a week since I checked out. They said I should have asked for the refund when I checked out which shouldn’t be the case! - This place does not have good customer service or care about the impression they leave on people. Your guests are the most important thing!! - No washing machine instructions included. For me booking for the washing machine was important but I had never used a front loader before and considering other damages in the room, it felt best to leave it alone - Average housekeeping, could be improved with proper staff training. Did not to replenish my milks and gave me duplicates of the toiletries for some reason (The hand wash was empty on arrival). They did provide clean towels - Only 2/3 elevators working for what appears to be since 2022-2023 - No robes or slippers for additional comfort (for those interested) - No smoking on the balcony but smoking out the front is fine - Checkout time is 10am not 11am - Parking is $40 per night not $35. This place does not care about the people who stay here. My experience from booking to check out has left me feeling scammed or with the potential of being scammed! Do I plan on coming back to Auckland again? Yes. Do I plan on staying at the Quadrant again? No!

STAY AWAY THEIR RESPONSE IS AT THE BOTTOM!! AND THIER REPLY EMAIL... PLEASE READ. BY READING THEIR REPLYS TO THEIR CUSTOMERS , IT LOOKS AND SOUNDS LIKE THE OLD COPY AND PASTE... THEY DID EVEN BOTHER TO CALL ME AND OFFER ANY REFUND OR COMPENSATION FOR THIS HORRIBLE STAY. What a joke ! Our stay at the Quadrant Hotel on Saturday night review. Word of advice, DONT STAY HERE, EVER !!! our review of our stay on Saturday 24th at the quadrant. well I'm not one to write a review , but OMG !!!!.when we first arrived we couldn't even get into their driveway , they had parked cars every where , we had to double park on the footpath. Check in was ok , now for the room . we booked the penthouse , fantastic view , that's where it all went down hill...... after a close look around the room we noticed quite a few issues , rips and stains on the couches , carpet had stains on it , the bed , well , id be better sleeping on the ironing board in the cupboard , hard as at rock and stains on the sheets , pillows and quilt... YUCK !!!!!. Not to mention that there was 1 teaspoon , 1 wine glass, 1 drinking glass , 1 coffee cup , 2 forks ,1 knife, 3 spoons , now pots pans or anything to cook with , and a fridge that was so loud we had to turn it off. And now for the best part - BREAKFAST , arrived to breakfast at approx 9.00 am , no one to great us at the entrance, left to fend for ourselves. No plates , coffee cup, juice glasses , knives & forks , DAMMMMMM , oh yeah that's right no food either.. had to ask the only staff member for a plate , so after a 4 minute , he brought out 3 plates , all different , then i had to ask for a knife and fork...... so i waited for approx 10-15 mins , i then managed to grab a staff member to ask her if they intended to bring any food out - the entire buffet was empty. 5 mins later she came out with some potatoes hash browns , that's all , waited another 5 mins for some bacon , then 5 mins after that some eggs arrived... What a joke. The other 3 couples that were in the restaurant also made comment re the lack of service and food , my work college got that Peeved off waiting , she ordered Urber Eats , which arrived in 10 mins , good old MC Dees. After having some toast , 2 small hash browns things , some cold bacon we left and checked out .... off to the autobahn for a real breakfast. After paying for the penthouse for the evening , the whole breakfast , room condition really put a huge downer on what was a great night out celebrating our companies mid winter xmas. Word of advise - if your planning on booking here - don't , i should have paid the extra $50 and gone to the Hilton...... 5 star here This is their response!
