Farina — Restaurant in Waitematā

Today, I revised my Google review of Farina, lowering my rating from 5 stars to 1 due to the Italian manager or owner (women who has short, curly hair)

Since the end of 2019, my Italian friend introduced me to this place, and I quickly became a big fan of Farina.

Whenever my friends and guests visit New Zealand, I make it a point to bring them here. I've even recommended this place when people asked me hidden gem in Auckland.

Luckly, I hadn't experienced the Italian woman's service back then.

Few days ago, I brought my guests to Farina to celebrate their graduation. Unfortunately, that woman's behavior was SO RUDE. We found her tone and the way she spoke to us during our order to be completely unacceptable. Even my guests asked if we had done something wrong, puzzled by her rudeness. Maybe she only prefer to serve Italians? I felt so embarrassed because I had brought them to this place with the expectation of a good time, but we didn't have one. I understand that you may not remember all your customers, but you better to be kind at least get some manner to customers.

I'm sorry to the other staff and chefs because their service and food were good.

However, due to this worst experience from that woman, I won't be returning to Farina. ——————————————— (This is my previous review 2 years ago)

Okay.. I love this place alot.. beers and pizza is the best in Auckland!!!! Moreover, dessert is goood as well !!!!! Def visit this place again! Very autentic Italian food !!

Hi guys, I hope this message finds you well. I recently dined at your restaurant and wanted to share my honest feedback with you. I must say that I left feeling extremely disappointed with the overall experience, particularly in relation to the portion sizes and the value for money.

Considering the significant amount we spent, which was $75 per person, I expected to receive a more substantial and satisfying meal. However, the portion sizes were surprisingly small, leaving us feeling unsatisfied and questioning the value of our investment. We had anticipated a more generous serving that would have left us feeling both content and fulfilled.

Furthermore, I was taken aback by the lack of attention to detail in the presentation and taste of the food. The pizza bread, for instance, was bland and lacked any accompanying dipping sauces that could have elevated the flavors. These small touches can truly enhance the dining experience and leave a lasting impression on customers.

I genuinely hope that you take this feedback constructively and consider reevaluating your portion sizes and overall dining experience. By making adjustments and improvements, you have the opportunity to provide a more enjoyable and memorable experience for your customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (If I could, I’d give 20 stars!)

We came here for dinner and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The wine was excellent, but what really stood out was the incredible service. I wish I remembered the name of the gentleman who looked after us: he was outstanding. He explained the menu with such honesty, knowledge, and enthusiasm, and it was clear he had a deep understanding of both the dishes and the restaurant itself.

We were unsure what to order because everything looked so good and we couldnt decide as we wanted to try everything. he guided us perfectly, giving thoughtful recommendations and going above and beyond to make sure we chose what suited us best. Even though the restaurant was full, he was attentive, quick, and genuinely warm smiling the whole time and clearly enjoying what he does. It’s rare to find service like that these days.

The food was just as impressive. We had a meat dish (piatto con carne) that was one of the best mains I’ve ever had in Auckland, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The linguine pasta was also delicious. But the star for me was the olive ascolane: even better than the ones I’ve had in Italy. For dessert, the cannoli was outstanding, the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal.

Even when it came time to pay, the staff were friendly, accommodating, and made us feel welcome right up until the very end.

We truly enjoyed every moment of our experience here and will definitely be back. Highly, highly...
