The Tinted Rose — Restaurant in Waitematā

My experience at Tinted Rose was really exciting. It’s nice to have a cocktail spot that feels a bit tucked away. It has that cosy, intimate vibe you want in a cocktail bar, without the noise or chaos you sometimes get in the city.

We visited on a Saturday around 6:30 pm and were seated straight away. I reckon this could become my go-to for drinks and catch-ups in the city. They’ve also got blankets and heating in the outdoor area, which was a nice touch in the cooler months. Best Spanish tapas bar in Auckland. This is a very authentic Spanish Tapas Bar, like the ones you would find in any city in Spain. The food is not too fancy and complicated but simple and fast... but delicious. Most tapas are to share and the portions are generous given the price.

The service is very welcoming and personable and it is a great place to sit at the bar and chat with the bartenders. The cocktails are fast and reasonably priced and the highlight at the gin and tonics. Being Spanish this is something that I really appreciated.

Hidden gem...

We went on a Monday night so it felt a bit of a weird vibe at first, I think it was because we didn’t know who the staff were. The website also says they are closed - they weren’t. Once the staff became apparent, our cocktails were delicious, 10/10 for my margarita, and the vibe was good.
