MAKING AN EXCUSE FOR BAD SERVICE BEACUSE IT IS COVID TIMES, JUST DOESNT GIVE YOUNA FREE PASS.

Really bad service by the staff here in the newmarket branch of hello mister.

I usually get my lunch from here on weekdays as the food is always good, but I usually get points when I scan my goody app.

This time when I went there, the staff clearly refused to scan my card for points, as they said that they don't have the system to do it anymore. No apologies, no nice behavior, nothing. Straight up reply with attitude.

I dont think it is my fault if your system isn't working, and a customer only wants to be explained properly why it is not working. But I was given an attitude.

When I asked to talk to the manager named (Dana or something), someone else came up to me (not a manager) and wasn't courteous at all (not rude but still).

Came for a fairly late lunch around 1500. They were out of bread for the bahn mi so I went with a beef pho and a couple of hand rolls. the pho was quite nice. The broth was really fragrant and nice flavour. It also came with hosin and chilli sauce on the side. The hand rolls were ok. I tried the braised pork and the lemongrass chicken as the duck was also sold out. I found it a bit bland, mostly tasting of the vermicelli. the dipping sauce helped. Hello Mister has become my favorite no brainer lunch spot at work as I’m always satisfied with my choices and it’s always a good time for Vietnamese when I’m feeling indecisive.

Staff is super warm and friendly and I’m an avid fan of the Madam Mi with lemongrass chicken and lots of chilli, Aunty Bun with Crispy Pork or the Pho with lemongrass chicken laden with chilli.
