My partner and I were very excited to see the pics of delicious food when we saw this restaurant on Google. What a disappointment the food was, not even sure where to start! our food arrived in less than 10 minutes, this was the only good thing about the experience Ordered the platter with ribs, chicken wings, chips and slaw for two. Both meats had a smoky taste to it which is fine, but the tomato-like basting sauce did not compliment the smokey flavour at all. Some of the chicken wings didn't look like it was cooked properly (pinkish inside). The slaw was very bland, and we could only taste an unpleasant lemon zing to it. My partner only had a teaspoon full and he normally finishes our slaw. I enjoyed taste of the side jalapeño bombs with blue cheese sauce we ordered, but again, some of them were cold inside (not heated properly). We didn't complain because it was after 3pm and our first meal for the day, so we were quite hungry. Decided to order dessert to see if we would change our mind about the food disaster. The American style waffles was also unappetising. Looks very attractive in the pic, but very chewy, rubber like, also as if it was frozen and just warmed up in a microwave. The dessert also arrived in less than 10mins. The berries seemed like it was taken from a frozen packet 5mims ago and just sprinkled on the top of the waffle. Ordered Platter which included buffalo wings, ribs, colselae, jalapeno bombs and chips: Buffalo wings: Not heated enough and taste average Ribs: not heated at all. Didn't bother finishing. Jalapeno bombs: Not heard enough. However taste was amazing and only highlight of the experience. Chips: It's chips so nothing more to say.

Desert ordered American style waffle. our order arrived at our table in less than 10 minutes This to me seemed odd because it definitely doesn't take less than 10 minutes to prepare fres waffles. Upon taking my first bite I understood why this order arrived so quick at our table. The waffle was rubbery and chewy to the point that I didn't finish it This can only be explained by waffles that was pre-prepared and heated up, add a dollop of ice cream that looks like a table spoon size scoop and same amount of cream. Presentation of the desert looks good but the rubbery waffles capped an afternoon that I will be never forget. Worst food experience I have ever had in NZ this far and I do not intend to return ever.

The food itself was amazing and I've dined here before without issue but wow the service tonight was terrible! The food came out very quickly but we had to ask 5 times to get water for the table and it didn't come until we were halfway through our meal. Once we had our food we were completely forgotten, no one came to check if we needed more drinks, our table was never cleared of our plates, we weren't asked if we wanted dessert (which we did). We were sat behind a wall that wasn't clearly visible to the staff and we really did feel invisible. If they're going to place a table out of sight like that then they should be conscious of the people who are sat there. There was also a cringey moment where the staff were singing happy birthday to someone at the table next to us, and they didn't even know the guys name so they just mumbled through that part of the song! The wait staff need a lot of improvement. The food really was delicious though, I would go again just for that and I would make sure not to accept the hidden table for fear of being...
