Rip off for an extremely disappointing meal. The only things that were good was the lemon lime and bitters and curly fries. Brought my mum and partner here for lunch as we had the souvlaki a couple of years ago and while it was a far cry from the real deal in Greece it was still pretty good. Today it was more than disappointing AND for a whopping $106. Me and my mum got the lamb and my partner got the chicken. Firstly it was an extremely thin wrap which is not even close to flatbread. The vegetable choice was very strange as it contained gherkins and carrot (a standard souvlaki has tomato, lettuce, onion). The hummus was tasteless and throwed on the wrap extremely thick. There was no tzatziki or any kind of sauce to cut through any flavor. And the worst was the lamb wasn't even souvlaki lamb! Souvlaki is grilled meat on a skewer and usually shaved onto a wrap like a kebab. The lamb was stewed and pulled, full of fat and honestly gross. It was as if someone dumped a pot roast into a wrap.Couldn't taste any other ingredient except for the sloppy lamb and thick hummus. Extremely extremely disappointing and incredible waste of money and I will...
Read moreDecided to go out for a lovely local meal tonight but was sadly disappointed with my experience. First of all the staff were sassy and rude to us, and when I asked for simple things like tomato sauce and raspberry lemonade the staff had to ask the manager, if this was ok. They acted like they didn’t want to be there and they were also dismissive and had no friendliness or customer service skills. Drinks arrived, they were good and then the food arrived and it was amazing, it was just the staff that worsened the experience. Every time the staff walked away from our table they went behind the counter and started snickering to one another. I feel bad for the staff as the manager ( I’m assuming or the head waiter of the night) was not talking to anyone and was just standing at the front counter looking at customers and at their table. It made us feel uncomfortable. We were not given napkins or cutlery for our meals either. There was one great staff member and she checked on us and made sure we were ok. But overall a disappointing experience especially for the price, I never leave reviews but I felt like this...
Read moreWe had a celebratory lunch with my best friend 🧡 Brett our waiter welcomed us with a warm and friendly smile. He soon approached to take our order, I wasn't quite ready, however after asking him what lunch meals was Bodrum Kitchen Brickworks New Lynn renowned for or were popular dishes most ordered by their customers, Brett recommended the Bodrum Feast with the succulent chicken skewers. We ordered two servings of that along with a mango passion dream mocktail and a mango smoothie. Patricia aka Paty brought our plates of food to us with a smile that lit up the room. The Turkish food was delicious, mouth-watering, and flavourful. We enjoyed our lunch and drinks so much, that we mentioned we would be returning soon. We loved the modern decor, there was plenty of natural sunlight inside the restaurant, the food was delicious and healthy and to top it all off we had exceptional customer service from both Brett and Paty. Thank you for being attentive and hospitable. We appreciate you both and compliment the chefs, we loved...
