We are locals and often visit Lynnmall & Dine at Brickworks. We’ve been to Hansan a few times before, but not as often as other cafes. A few weeks ago, we decided to dine in at Hansan.
While one of our family members was standing by the chairs outside with our belongings while the kids were playing in the play area (located centrally between all the restaurants), a man with black jacket, white hair came out from restaurant and rudely asked if we were just going to sit at the tables or actually “eat.” It was put thru very unprofessionally. We have never had this experience before so didnt know how to react, we just told that we already ordered with your staff and are waiting for the food. But then I wondered, should’t he be aware about whats going on. There was no other customer dining outdoors and place was not that busy.
Later, after our meal, he came out, wide-eyed, and rushed inside, asking one of the staff to quickly approach me to settle the bill while I was putting my infant to sleep. I found this strange and asked the staff, who was polite, why the manager was behaving so oddly. She apologized and explained that he was afraid customers might leave without paying.
When I went inside with my infant still on my shoulder, the manager kept staring at me in a strange way. I told him, “You forgot that I dined here, and I want to pay the bill.” He then grinned and laughed, saying he thought I was an Uber driver. Haha... really? An Uber driver goes around with a sleeping infant?
I also noticed that all the outdoor seating was empty while we were dining.
There are other reviews pointing to similar experiences. I will be reporting this to the mall and also request that the owners, if they are reading this, look into this person's behaviour. In my opinion, this individual is not fit to run a...
Read moreThis restaurant was casually nice, but most of their foods were bland and flavorless. Their customer service was not very pleasant and welcoming and there was one Asian girl with the long black ponytail and oval face, who was either Korean or Vietnamese, did not make us feel welcome at all. Additionally, she took or stole most of the portions we requested to pack for us to go. How very stingy, selfish, and deceptive of her. I don’t know what her stupid problem is, but I sense her negative feelings and bad attitude towards me from the beginning. I did not receive a warm welcome from her and I have been there twice. I wanted to give it another try but I should have gone to the food court instead. There are better foods and options there. I won’t be returning to this one due to the bad foods and mostly the bad customer services.
I don’t recommend this place at all because they offer Vietnamese, Thai, Cambodian, Korean, and Indonesian foods, which are bad and flavorless with bad customer services. Their Vietnamese pho and vermicelli dishes were ok, but the other ethnic foods, particularly Cambodian, Thai, and Indonesian foods had no flavors at all. Their banh xeo crepes were terrible and bland as well and they did not provide all the ingredients, like the basil for example. I have tried Cambodian versions of it and they were really fluffy, lightly crisp, and flavorful. Their Indonesian satays, Cambodian style curries, barbecue skewers, and many other dishes are awful. I have had better ones. I should have dined at the food court where there are more flavors and better customer services at the Middle Eastern kabobs, Indian,...
Read moreWe went to Hansan Restaurant during the time it was not very busy which was great timing we had the the place to ourselves. The main waitress or owner was lovely and I appreciated her work ethic even if it was quiet she was looking for things to clean or tidy up. Very attentive.
Food came out hot and full a flavour we were very happy with our choices. Chicken wings may have not been the full wing but they were definitely hot and cooked to perfection.
All our dishes came out one after the other. Delicious with its side condiments and the smells of good fresh ingredients.
I love trying all the appetizers so I settled with 4. Deep fried spring rolls with lettuce yummy, Chicken wings, Wontons and tofu sweet chilli. Our mains were the chicken fried rice and Pork Chop & Vermicelli Soup, Pork Belly Bahn MI all delicious I might add.
All I can say is I highly recommend going back for a early dinner. So you have the place to yourself. Worth paying the amount that we did for the 2 of us as we were super full and happy once we...
