28-Feb-2025. Before i vent further and go viral about this unreal, poor as customer service experience.
Got to where you place orders, so i began by saying that i have 4 orders to make and can they be separately bagged. Young female staff member said, I can only take 2 orders because the queue is too long? Like, why is that my problem? If management cannot organise or cope with the queue, than it is a staffing issue that they need to sort out !! She then said. I can take 2 of your orders and you need to go in store to place the other 2?? Like WTH man !! To go from waiting patiently in queue to being told that they cannot serve your full order is just down right pathetic.
If they thought of operating in a more "smarter than harder" way, its not rocket science to put up signage at the entrance of drive in to clearly advise the public that 'if the queue is long and you have more than 2 orders, GO IN STORE'. I would not have enteted the drive-in if a sign was there. Hard earned money spent to recieve pitiful service. Very frustrating, annoying, messed-up, painful way to end a friday. Never again will we step foot...
Read moreIf I could submit my review of this particular Mcdonalds in Kelston without awarding a star or minus a star this would be applicable. The drive thru experience lasted an exhausting 31mins. Upon arrival there were four cars in front of me to order. It took 20 minutes just to place an order to which I was told that Mcflurry's are not available .... Only sundaes as the machine that makes them was out of order. If I could of reversed out or possibly removed myself and car from the queue it have would of been great. But unfortunately I was still to indure another 11 mins of punishment. By this time my lust to escape this torment had left with me my only choice to leave with no food and a very bad taste in mouth. All I can suggest is to go to another Mcdonalds and there you may be able to enjoy a " Great November" .... I'm afraid nothing is great here but a great waste of time. Also the New Lynn branch may well be operated by the same entrepreneurs ...... This could also be a haven for long waits and...
Read morePacific islander lady who looks like a manager (she wears the grey uniform) is so rude and has terrible customer service. I will find her name out and write another review. She served me last night in the drive through. Stuffed 2 combos in one bag. She gave me the bag and as she dropped it into my hands it ripped. I asked for another bag and her response was "it wasn't ripped when I gave it to you". I said "yeah it ripped when you dropped it in to my hands". She then responds "well I can't put it another bag for you but I'll give you a bag to do it yourself". Her tone and unbothered nature was so rude. I will finding out her name and escalating this further. Another friend of mine had a similar experience asking for salt and sauce, her response was we've run out completely. She didn't even wall 1 metre to have a look. People like this think they can treat people rudely as though they work for Forbes 🙄 I hope she gets a warning and disciplinary action...
