I had my 25th birthday on Sunday, all I wanted for dinner was some tasty NANDOS, I went down to new Lynn and spent $77 on NANDOS for my partner and my mate and I, when we got home we took our first bites, ALL of the chicken was undercooked and rubbery which suggests it’s been re heated, also I asked for the hottest level of spicy they offer, and no spice what so ever, we couldn’t eat ANY of the chicken that we paid for. I took one bite and instantly tasted the raw flavour, to only see pink no white. I went to the store to confront the staff about this situation and they even told me to “be patient” even though I had just spent $80 for horrible food and they ignored everyone at the counter for nearly 10 minutes, I demanded the manager over to the counter and showed her all the food practically untouched and she said to me that because they had their refund card stolen in a robbery that I can’t get a refund.THEY TRIED GIVING ME FOOD POISONING ON MY BIRTHDAY THEN WONT EVEN REFUND ME?!!?? Absolute rubbish. I paid good money for a meal I craved, waited longer than I should have and got treated like rubbish by the awful rude staff who can’t even cook chicken in a chicken restaurant. I filmed every second of the interaction with the manager and will be contacting head office, seeing as 90% of the most recent reviews also say similar things, they either need to completely re staff the branch or demolish it to the ground and stop poisoning people. You can actually die from food poisoning too so I’m surprised this isn’t taken more seriously. The managers name was Lara Williams and she handled this situation terribly, even burdened me with her excuse of “I’m on my own here” when actually she had 4 staff members working in the kitchen, will be lodging a huge complaint to head office, absolutely daylight robbery and ruined my birthday...
Read moreFew hour ago, been to Nando's 3041 Great North Road, New Lynn, Auckland 0600. It's between 6:30 pm to 6:45pm. The restaurant looked like it's closed. I asked at counter, the guy said due to short staff, they're not doing the dine in. (which was fair enough). While ordering I requested to the counter guy, do you mind if we can just sit inside and have our dinner, we will clear the table once we done, the counter guy said, ok. If he would had said no to us, we would definitely walked out at that moment. There were 4 to 5 staff, one girl was at prep table and using her mobile. (please check the cameras if I am wrong). Anyway maybe she's allowed. Order was ready, i requested some plates but the girl said we can't dine in. I explained her what actually happened and then I said don't give us plates, we can have it in take aways and sit on a table, will clear the table once done. The girl was very rude. I said to refund the money as we can't eat the food outside (due to some reason). She said can't refund. Can't sit on a table. I said, i ordered my food after discussing with the counter guy. The counter guy was friendly but the girl was not even the manager but she said she's the manager. She makes the decisions. She said, she won't listen what the counter guy offered us. I asked her name (as she's not wearing any name badge) She said, she won't tell her name. Pathetic service from the girl. If the other team member offers something to customers (which was well within limits) she should accept that and later she should advise the staff. Definitely not going to visit...
Read moreLet me start of by saying I love nandos and I have visited a couple of them and the customer service has always been lovely. Last night I was at the new Lynn store it was complete disaster of a meal we had. Starting with the manager Bernadine who was on calls and taking our order at the same time didn't excuse herself and started scanning passes and went back on the phone. Once ready to order we placed the order and waited on the table for more than 30 minutes. When asked after 30 mins they asked us back what were we waiting for and realised the order was marked as takeaway instead of dining. So we get served reheated chicken and fries and they were absolutely not worthy and when served no apologies from the manager she just walks away saying here you go. I can keep going about the whole experience but to conclude if the customer service keeps going at this pace which is absolutely not acceptable this place will have fewer customers and bad reviews popping...
