I'm not sure why this review opportunity is for the hotel, when the restaurant is the primary destination for most people. Nonetheless, I and a friend had a fantastic lunch here. Especially noteworthy who was the grilled vegetable salad which was warm with some kind of creamy, dreamy sauce.... and a really special pizza that had blue cheese, honey mustard, and some kind of thinly sliced meat. It was awesome. We also had some spaghetti bolognese, two beers, and two glasses of liqueur. The total bill was about U$S 25. Given the perfect location next to Macedonia Square, it is a very fair price to ask. Our kindly waiter Igor was very informative to us newcomers, and very attentive to our needs as customers. Two thumbs up to this restaurant. As a bit of and addendum, I will continue to attach photos of food, without commentary, as I continue to visit this wonderful restaurant. I do have one criticism, however. I use the internet a lot and the system here is very dysfunctional. Reminds me of internet access back in the 1990s. Given the size of this place and it's revenue stream, perhaps it's time to consider investing in a new, large, high speed router. Your clientele will thank you!

I’m rating the restaurant, not the hotel. The place has a clear view for the fountain of the square, since it’s located in front of it. Well, it was full of people when I arrived (lots of locals, which can be a good sign). The service to find a table was medium, since I kinda got one myself lol. Everything else after that was okay. The waiter for my table was sweet, but he was a little bit overloaded with tables. Even so, he tried to recommend dishes, wines and everything went great. Starter: the chicken salad was HUGE, easily could be for two people (for some, the only meal). It was tasty, but I wish it had more sauce. Main dish: I had the gilled squid and differently from the starter, it wasn’t that big. However, plenty enough for one person. It was good, but I added pepper and salt for an extra kick. Dessert: it was a massive piece of vegan and gluten-free cake! I loved it! It isn’t a super sweet dessert and I wish it had more apple, but for the price and size… perfect. Overall: I would 100% return. It’s a good choice for dietary restrictions, since they highlight the potential items in the menu (even though not specifying, but that seems to be common in Macedonia).

I would gladly say that this is one of the best restaurants in Skopje, although I must admit that the location is one of the main reasons for this title, besides the good food that comes out of the kitchen. Positioned right on the Macedonian square, this restaurant has been here for a very long time. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is perfectly prepared and served, but they really really need a bit improvement with the staff. The waiters are relatively slow, although there are enough servers per tables. During the summer, the patio is the right place to get your daily dose of caffeine or to have a salad, a drink or an excellent slice of pizza. For all of you tourists: This is the restaurant that is a “must”. Try the pizza, try the lasagne, try the cobb salad or the tuna steak. You can also try the spicy duck, the pasta, the desserts... OMG, the desserts!

Went 2 times in recent days. The first time they had us wait more than 10 minutes at the door just so they can check if there was a table available and didn’t even come back to us so we left. The second time we made a reservation and ordered mascarpone mushrooms that definitely did not have any mascarpone and mushrooms were undercooked, risotto was so bland and soggy with so much moisture it was inedible. Also ordered some chicken with mozzarella and tomatoes and not a single tomato was seen, literally not one, and lastly a sandwich was ordered as a safe bet which turned out to be the worst one yet and looked like it was just slapped on in 5 seconds by a toddler. The lava cake was good but not the ice cream and the coffee, will not be visiting again

I have dined at this restaurant twice however I would never go back there again amd do not recommend it to anyone else. The staff/waiters are first off very rude, the food takes over 20 minutes to come out even when ordering something simple like pasta bolognese. My most recent visa at Pelister restaurant, I ordered the lasagna which are a good sized portion and very filling. However, they brought out the lasagna to me around 20-25 mins after ordering and they were served burnt. The tomato sauce was completely burnt and the cheese, the sauce on the inside even the pasta in the lasagna tasted so burnt. I will say that they are very filling however I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the food and the service.

As someone who spent 2 days in skopje, I chose pelister for my anniversary and it did not mislead me. we chose to have our dinner here on both evenings. I ordered pizza family, it was quite big and it was satisfying. My suggestion here is to write the pizza diameters on the menu. I also tried different flavors from the pasta menu and the pasta menu matrix was prepared quite nicely. The decoration was nice and there is a historic feel to it, you can expect some crowds on a Sunday evening. I don't think it will be crowded on other days, but I suggest you make a reservation. Instead of Macedonian dinars, they also get paid in Euros, which is an advantage. Payment can also be made in Turkish lira. :)
