(This rating is for the restaurant) In general a good restaurant in a nice location next to the central square. Food is of decent quality and although it's quite busy, service was still not too slow. However, what is not acceptable is that the prices on the menu on the restaurant website are much cheaper than in real life and what's worse, they are even aware of it (the waiter said other people had complained about it as well, but somehow they can't/don't want to update the website). So basically you check the menu online before coming, think that the prices are reasonable and then once you are at the restaurant you see that in real life the prices are up to more than 30% higher (e.g. Zucchini and Bresola Risotto: price in the online menu 329 MKD, real price when arriving in the restaurant 437 MKD = 32% higher price). The visit in the restaurant was two months ago and until the current date two months later, the prices online are still not updated. This is an unfair practice also towards their competition, because when people choose their restaurants based on the menus online, they are made to believe that the restaurant is cheaper than it actually is, and some people might only find out when they are already sitting down and ordering the food and then probably reluctant to leave again.

I'm not sure why this review opportunity is for the hotel, when the restaurant is the primary destination for most people. Nonetheless, I and a friend had a fantastic lunch here. Especially noteworthy who was the grilled vegetable salad which was warm with some kind of creamy, dreamy sauce.... and a really special pizza that had blue cheese, honey mustard, and some kind of thinly sliced meat. It was awesome. We also had some spaghetti bolognese, two beers, and two glasses of liqueur. The total bill was about U$S 25. Given the perfect location next to Macedonia Square, it is a very fair price to ask. Our kindly waiter Igor was very informative to us newcomers, and very attentive to our needs as customers. Two thumbs up to this restaurant. As a bit of and addendum, I will continue to attach photos of food, without commentary, as I continue to visit this wonderful restaurant. I do have one criticism, however. I use the internet a lot and the system here is very dysfunctional. Reminds me of internet access back in the 1990s. Given the size of this place and it's revenue stream, perhaps it's time to consider investing in a new, large, high speed router. Your clientele will thank you!

I’m rating the restaurant, not the hotel. The place has a clear view for the fountain of the square, since it’s located in front of it. Well, it was full of people when I arrived (lots of locals, which can be a good sign). The service to find a table was medium, since I kinda got one myself lol. Everything else after that was okay. The waiter for my table was sweet, but he was a little bit overloaded with tables. Even so, he tried to recommend dishes, wines and everything went great. Starter: the chicken salad was HUGE, easily could be for two people (for some, the only meal). It was tasty, but I wish it had more sauce. Main dish: I had the gilled squid and differently from the starter, it wasn’t that big. However, plenty enough for one person. It was good, but I added pepper and salt for an extra kick. Dessert: it was a massive piece of vegan and gluten-free cake! I loved it! It isn’t a super sweet dessert and I wish it had more apple, but for the price and size… perfect. Overall: I would 100% return. It’s a good choice for dietary restrictions, since they highlight the potential items in the menu (even though not specifying, but that seems to be common in Macedonia).

First the good:||- Location in the square and close to everything (however it is very noisy if you need to get to sleep before midnight as the windows are not soundproof)|- My room was large and had a fridge ||Now the bad:||- No breakfast included|- Shower is inside the bath. The shower head and fixture is a very old fashioned 80s/90s style so doesn’t project the water outwards which means you need to squash up against the wall to shower, meaning showering is very uncomfortable |- The shower had lots of black flakes coming into the water flow when it was first turned on, which was really disgusting |- Flies in the room when I checked in|- Wi-Fi in my room didn’t really work at all, and I was staying for business purposes, which was a total nightmare |- No luggage storage - staff suggested I leave my bags at an unmanned desk by the restaurant door, where anyone could go upstairs and take them|- Staff refused to call a taxi and told me to just find a street taxi (when receptionists from 3 other Skopje hotels told me not to do this and always call a taxi)|- Overpriced and poor value for money vs offering ||Ultimately this place is charging hotel prices for a poor DIY type of experience, I do not recommend staying here (particularly not for business travelers!) when there are so many better options in...
