Henry & Sally's — Restaurant in Oslo

There was miscommunication with the bartender and unfortunately he was not very helpful or flexible.

We asked specifically if one of the beers we were interested in was bottled and he said it was not. Then he served the beer from a bottle so we were confused. In his defense he said we asked if it was from a can which we are pretty sure it was not what we asked and in any case we had already said we wanted something from tap.

Since this is a craft beer bar, the bartender should be someone who can clearly explain what you are ordering. Not only that but he refused to take responsibility and denied our suggestion to change the order or reach any kind of compromise.

In the end, we ended up paying the total value of an expensive drink that we did not want or liked so hopefully you can take this feedback to improve how you handle future interactions.

Again, that’s where the misscomunication comes, he might have think we said can but we said bottle, there were three of us and we are sure of what was asked. Yes, we saw him pour it that’s why we we were confused. About the price, I think most people can agree that 10cl for 89kr is expensive. If you only accept good reviews you won’t improve and the defensive reaction stating that everyone else gives good reviews should not invalidate our unpleasant experience created by the misunderstanding that you insist on avoiding responsibility. You keep proving our point and it does not show great customer service or openness...

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, but I think we got ripped off. Paid 199 NOK for 100is milliliters of an already open mead. In 2023 that's a bit much, even for Norwegian standards. PS: The mead was below average.

Reply to Noel's answer: Thanks for getting back to us, Noel :) As I only tasted the one mead from one bottle of Marlobobo's mead, I cannot speak for the entire meadery, but only for the drinks we got served. Those, unfortunately, were bad. In regards to a good mead experience we had in Oslo, we liked the Valhalla mead in Mathallen Oslo, which were sold at 75...

I didn’t try any food but since there is no star for the drinks I will give it here. We were a group of 4 and ordered 4 different beers, we did not like any of them. I am not an expert in craft beer but I have been to multiple craft beer establishments and I think the selection they have is not good. The customer service was bad. Aside from this, they are incredibly rude and not open to negative feedback.
