The drink selection here is only okay, but it more than makes up for it with its large space and interesting vibe. If I ever come back to Oslo, I will definitely look to come back here.
We were initially rather disappointed when we asked for a cocktail list and we got nothing, just something along the lines of "We can do simple cocktails". So don't come here if you're looking for fun, unique cocktails. Maybe it was just that particular bartender, because when I asked about their beer selection he didn't seem to know anything... But in general the bottled/canned/draft selection seemed pretty large.
The space itself is big; lots of seating, larger/small tables, some indoor/outdoor (with heat lamps), and several rooms. The decor is an odd yet interesting mix of geography, anatomy, and industrial fixtures. Very hipster-y vibes, but by no means pretentious in my book.
There were a few board games scattered around, and some cards, so you can probably play some games while you destroy...
Read moreThis bar’s atmosphere is wonderful. So cozy and the perfect chill environment. I would give it 4-5 stars if it weren't for the fact that it is 23 & up. Especially for out-of-towners, it is super frustrating to not be able to enjoy a local drinking spot as an adult when you are vacationing. The legal drinking age in norway is 18, and being from the US it is 21, so traveling as a 22 year old and being denied a drink is no fun. There is a tiny sign at the entrance warning you that you will completely miss, especially if not fluent in the language. But, no bouncer or anyone checking IDs until you get to the bar. And, even when you get to the bar it is very inconsistent as to who will ID you. My friends and I had been casually drinking and having a great night of socializing for about 2 hours when I went to get up and order a 2nd drink and was ID’d for the first time and denied. There really should either be a bouncer at the door or they serve people at the legal...
Read moreThis was such a lovely bar a short walk from our apartment in Norway. Everything else was closing around us but we happened to yelp this bar. I think it was a random Tuesday so it was pretty empty and it was freezing lol! I was starving so I yelped and walked around for a few blocks trying to find something to eat Apparently you can bring outside food because they only serve alcohol. Delightful! The prices weren't as crazy as other bars we visited. There's an outside area with heaters and a large area inside. It felt like I was in an old cottage. Old bricks, vines, fireplace.... nice and cozy.
They have tables, couches and other comfy areas for larger groups. My friend and I really liked it. The bartenders were really nice. Board games too! It's a...
