Olympen Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Oslo

When we first arrived we were completely ignored by the staff until we finally sat down ourselves. There were almost no people there and still they didn’t approach us. After we sat down we continued to wait for menus or any kind of service, but no one came. So we found the menus ourselves and after some time, a member of the staff came to our table. We ordered steak and red wine, and the wine tasted sour and cold like it had been standing open in a fridge for a long time. After some sips I realized that there was something in my glass. I called for the waiter, he checked it and found leftovers from the bottle, some kind of cork and paper. He basically just said ”oh that’s just stuff from the bottle”. No excuse but he said we got that glass of wine for free, therefore they get one star. We would not recommend this...

I arrived at 10…when I first entered I asked a man in the bar if it was self service or should I sit and get served. He replied that I have to sit and the woman that was working at that time she will come to serve me… the clock was ticking 10.30 and she didn’t even looked at me….i was trying to reach her and she was on her phone…. And now you cal yourself a restaurant? You didn’t even offer me water or a menu…it was like I wasn’t there….such a pity to have places like this and you can’t even serve one person. I have travelled the whole Europe and other places. Even in India and god damn Pakistan when I was in a restaurant they treated me better…if I ever come back to Oslo you are one of the spot that...

The wait staff and bar staff are always excellent! However i was in with my dog (as always, and as i often see others come in with dogs) She barked twice and the manager tried to kick me out in a hostile manner. I asked him why, and explained that I bring her often and it’s never a problem, and that other people also bring dogs. He told me dogs aren’t allowed in (clearly a lie), and I didn’t even realise he was the manager as he failed to introduce himself. As he was at a table having drinks with guests, I assumed he was another customer! He was very rude in his approach and very patronising, even though he and his guests were some of the only ones in...
