Overall, a truly negative experience: poor service, no communication, and disappointing food. Definitely not going back. Terrible experience at this restaurant. It was absolutely unclear how the ordering system worked: it felt like a canteen, but no one explained the process. When we asked for information, the man serving us replied in a rude and unfriendly way, which made us feel even more uncomfortable. Even when we went back to the counter, it was still difficult to understand how things worked, and the girl at the service desk could not communicate in English, making the situation quite surreal.
The food was not properly described, ingredients were missing from what was written on the menu, and we had no idea what we were actually eating. One of my friends even found a small bird’s feather in her dish, which is absolutely unacceptable. The only good thing was the bread, which, by the way, was not even served — we had to ask for it...
Read moreThe food was really good but the service wasn't eaxctly amazing. Many people who came in after me (and I mean at least 3 tables and I was alone so it wasn't like I had a big complex order) got their food first and I had to ask for my naan bread because I don't know when I was going to get it otherwise. I will say the butter chicken, which is what I had, was delicious. I did want a garlic naan, however, but was served a plain one (didn't bother complaining because I was really hungry by the time my food actually came and I already had to practically demand my naan). The price was very good for Oslo. It was 210 nok which was a naan, rice, salad and main plus a small beer. I think genuinely no-one else really waited long for their food and maybe I just got forgotten do I assume it's normally better from that point of view. I'd go back and I'd recommend it. Just make sure you don't...

Have a few beers over at Rock In a few doors down, then pop over here to get some absolutely superb curry. Sure, the staff aren't gonna greet you with smiles or give you some strange American style welcome, but they're gonna give you some really good food, really fast.
I come from a part of the UK that is famous for Indian food, and even in other parts of the UK I find it quite lacking. This place does superb Desi food. Probably not home style, but as for eating out it is superb. Even now, I sit at home thousands of miles away dreaming of...
