La Casona Mexicana — Restaurant in Bajo Boquete

Service was good, but 2 stars because the food sucks. Ny family and myself are from Southern California. It's a blessing and a curse because we grew up with access to delicious authentic Mexican food, but because of this that means whenever we travel together we are often dissapointed EVERY time we eat at a "Mexican Restaurant" anywhere that isn't Southern California.

Only decent thing they had here was the chips and guacamole, but other than that the food was over priced for what you're getting in terms of quality and quantity. Quesedilla is sad, if you get a meat one don't bother, it's all cheese anyways.

Rolled tacos did not have the standard of toppings even the smallest hole in the wall in Southern California would have.

Was able to take my wife tonight for her first time and my second. We had a nice guacamole and chips, Gina had the Tricolor which is three soft corn shell tacos with three flavors and meats, chicken with red sauce, pork black bean sauce, beef with a green sauce, all covered in cheese. Very tasty variety. I had the Tacos suiza with chicken, it was the same as the taco with green sauce my wife had. Items cooked with flavor but not spice. Hot sauce available or you can request it spicy when you order. #billsbites...

Not good at all, the chicken in our enchiladas were so bland no flavor what so ever. We were the only ones in the restaurant besides the staff, the waitress was nowhere in sight for refills and my husband had to walk around saying hello after waiting almost 30 mins just to find her so we could get the check.
