Casa Colón — Restaurant in Bella Vista

We arrived early in the afternoon, so the place was empty—I believe we were the only customers at the time. It felt VIP-ish, and we loved it! The restaurant itself is lovely, with great decorations and an amazing ambiance. We were charmed from the moment we walked in.

We were greeted by Alexandra (our Cuban waitress and bartender), and she could not have been more wonderful if she tried! EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! She went above and beyond to accommodate all of our requests—even things that weren’t on the menu. Do yourself a favor and ask for the MOJITO DE SARIL when you visit it's a 100/10!!!

Alexandra was professional, engaging, friendly, and knowledgeable—the exact kind of host you’d wish for on any evening.

Now, the FOOD… OH MY GOD, THE FOOD!!! We were completely mind-blown. We came in with high expectations, and boy, did they deliver! The flavors were an absolute knockout, dish after dish. It was perfection again and again. There were only two of us, but we kept ordering more because everything was just that amazing.

My deepest respect to the kitchen staff—and to everyone involved!

¡Quedé gratamente sorprendido! Este restaurante nos regaló una de las mejores experiencias del año y gran parte del mérito se lo lleva la barra. Alejandra, la bartender, nos preparó un mojito de saril fuera de carta que quedó perfecto a la primera. El equilibrio fue impecable: la acidez del limón, el toque ligeramente amargo del saril, el picor del jengibre y la frescura de la menta se integraron en un trago aromático, refrescante y muy bien balanceado. Es difícil encontrar propuestas así en Panamá y se agradece cuando alguien en barra se anima a reinterpretar sabores tan nuestros.

La comida acompañó a la altura: platos bien presentados, porciones justas y sabores claros, sin artificios. Se nota cuidado en los detalles —desde el punto de cocción hasta el sazón— y una buena relación calidad–precio. El ambiente también suma: música con volumen adecuado para conversar, espacio limpio y cómodo, y un ritmo de servicio constante que nunca nos hizo esperar de más.

Pero si algo nos hizo querer volver, fue la atención de Alejandra. Tiene esa mezcla de técnica y calidez que convierte una salida en una experiencia. Escucha lo que te gusta, sugiere con criterio y ejecuta con precisión. Si pasan por aquí, pidan el mojito de saril: no figura en la carta, pero vale totalmente la pena. Ojalá lo incorporen pronto al menú, porque sería un sello de identidad de la casa.

En resumen, cocina sólida, coctelería creativa y servicio de primera. Recomendamos 100% el restaurante y, en especial, los cocteles de Alejandra....

If you do nothing else while in Panama go to casa colon and try the oxtails over rissoto.. I've had oxtails in9 different countries including Trinidad Spain drand even Jamaica and even Brooklyn which is not even a country but oxtails lovers get the drift.
