...I tried with this place I really did. They have an absolutely beautiful venue with a quiet patio and wifi, but unfortunately the food is horrible and the service leaves a lot to be desired. They have this amazing bread they use for their toasts but the stuff that comes with the toasts is such a waste (e.g., scrambled eggs with the consistency of bacon bits) and if you just order bread+butter they'll give you really cheap bread so there's no saving grace there! The portion sizes are huge but the servers will ask you every 5 minutes if they can take your food away when you still have half your plate left---if there were customers waiting to be seated MAYBE I could understand that but this place was never full. Waffles are really thick so they're raw on the inside and unsurprisingly made me sick. Coffee is weird...there's no regular coffee on the menu and they serve hot lattes in tall glasses made for cold drinks; I heard other people asking to confirm that they had ordered a hot beverage when they saw their order...don't worry though, it's only lukewarm so you won't burn yourself...
Read moreI see why this place is number one on trip advisor for Arequipa. Quality offerings with: stunning outdoor garden, good coffee, wonderful breakfast food and cabinet treats.
Having been in Peru for three months, it's always nice to find a place that serves good bread and quality cheese in their meals. Their spinach, tomato and cheese on toast is really delicious especially with olives added. Also, it's nice to see a cafe that caters to vegetarians in more of a creative way, not only offering avocado on toast.
It's good value breakfast too 15sol for 3 pieces of toast with those fried vegetables.
Their spinach and tomato waffles with cheese sauce had potential to be amazing but didn't hit the mark because of the cheese sauce- just plain cheese would have been sufficient. The cheese sauce is made with egg I think because mine had runny water making the waffle soggy and I think the egg wasn't cooked because I had a bad tummy afterwards.
Their cakes are fantastic and coffee very good too. Though I wish their cup sizes were smaller because it's very milky.

Read moreA beautiful place to have specialty Peruvian coffee and delicious desserts. They roast their own coffee and have more varieties of coffee from many different regions in Peru than any shop I visited in Arequipa. The women I spoke to was very knowledgeable and helpful in describing the profiles of coffee. In addition the V60 was by far the best price in town at 12 soles vs 14-17 at other cafes. If you are a coffee connoisseur, I would definitely suggest visiting. I do not drink coffee drinks so I cannot vouch for the experience of their baristas. The space is really nice set in a beautiful Arequipan courtyard. We really...
