El Patrón — Restaurant in Arequipa

Proper awful, I think the other reviews are by their mates. The burger was ok but the chips/fries were cold and old (if not recycled). The whale on the till does not want to move. The place is small yet they don’t take your order or bring your food, you have to do that yourself. There’s a self order facility on the table but they don’t make their wifi available. The cutlery is dirty and it took a while to find some clean cutlery for us. The atmosphere is low, heavy, tired as are the board staff. The music is good and the decor is great, I particularly like the tables and chairs. You think when you walk in that it will be great, but...

They were very nice and friendly. Small but atmosphere was cool. Ordered food to go since we stayed at the hotel across the street. Fries were cold and taste like they have been sitting in oil for some time. Could see the cold oil come out as I squeezed the fry. Burger was good but asked for it to be plain and there was some sauce on the bread and lettuce and tomatoe in the sandwich. Patty was good, but probably wouldn't go again as attention to detail...

Place is small but well organised and inviting, great mood and the guy at the counter is cool and speaks perfect english. Burgers and fries went beyond my expectations, very tasty and juicy. Maybe the sauces they use are a bit liquid for my tastes, but I come from the other side of the world, I appreciate there might be differences. Overall super recommended for anyone looking for a burger...
