This is—by far—one of the best cafes and pastelerías I have ever been to. Ever. We first graced this shop via an Airbnb tour of Barranco, and were immediately impressed by the coffee (impecable) and empanada filled with aji de gallina (a speciality they only make for the tour!). Both were some of the best I had in a long time, so I immediately put this place on our list to return before leaving. When we finally returned, we decided to grab a few desserts to go. We got the 3-layer chocolate cake, the tiramisu, the limón y coco, the manzana (apple), and the mango maracuya desserts. When I say… amazing… I’m literally writing this review after getting one bite into each of the desserts—they are THAT good. Each one was so rich, so flavorful, and truly, absolute perfection. Zara knows what she’s doing. The highest of compliments to Zara—we will definitely be back to Lima, if not to visit...

Unamimous with my wife !!! A shot of expresso might have rescued them ... the atmosphere and service were fine, but for this mediocre fare, in summary we left...
Read moreThe food is delicious! Great pastries, sweets, coffees, hot and cold beverages are amazing. Haven't tried lunch dishes, though. For breakfast, brunch, or an evening lonche, or just for grabbing coffee, this place is excellent.
The prices could be a bit lower but the quality sure makes it worthwhile. The portions are actually good for a high end bakery in this part of town.
I had the Hojaldre de Frambuesa and was mindblown by the size of it, for just under $4.
Definitely try it!
The place is gorgeous too, though it can get a bit loud because of the high ceiling and older casona architecture, it may get a bit too resonant when crowded. Neurodiverse folk: maybe bring your headphones if you are prone to become overwhelmed.
The service is great as...
