Lack of Tolerance and Unclear Rules

As someone who has visited this place many times and enjoyed breakfast here, it’s disappointing to write this review. However, my experience today made me question my positive thoughts about this place.

Around 4:00 PM, I parked my bike in the same spot where I had always parked before. There were no signs or warnings indicating that this space was reserved only for this café’s customers. At that time, the café was empty, and when I was about to leave, only two customers were arriving. There were also four available spots in the bike parking area. Despite this, while I was checking out the menus of other cafés across the street, one of the staff members stopped me just to inform me that the bike parking was exclusively for their customers.

Trying to understand the situation, I asked, “Do I need to move my bike?” Instead of showing any flexibility, the staff member confirmed that I should and added something like, “You can park it across the street; people who go to other cafés usually leave their bikes there.” There wasn’t even the slightest consideration of the fact that I might have been a potential customer.

From this experience, I can conclude two things: either the staff doesn’t understand the importance of hospitality and how to attract customers, or they simply don’t bother putting up a sign to inform people in advance. If this bike parking is truly meant only for their customers, they should clearly indicate that with a sign. Otherwise, stopping people to reprimand them when no prior warning was given is simply not a welcoming attitude.

Details like these show that a café is not only remembered for its food but also for its approach to customers. Honestly, after today, I don’t think I’ll be...

Trendy, artisanal, relaxed. This is the quintessential modern street side cafe. It sits in an area where competition is very high & it stands out for good reason. Clearly popular with a very wide range of folks with time on their hands. There is a vibrant atmosphere and an efficient, friendly staff, producing an exceptionally tasty offering of good breakfasts, fresh pastries and good coffee. The team seems to gel well and it gives a great impression of professional cohesion. The Eggs Benedict option I had was vegetarian & another ‘best of’ I’ve had since being in Lima. The coffee is excellent, flavourful, balanced & well prepared. I found my americano, while having excellent flavour, a little low in body for my taste but I would certainly not complain, it was good and my third coffee for the day. Would I come back: definitely! It is clearly popular with locals & visitors alike, for...

Phenomenal pastries - Quick service - Must stop

This place? A dream. We popped in for a quick bite and ended up falling in love. Think amazing pastries, strong coffee that actually wakes you up, and the kindest servers who make you feel like a regular, even on your first visit.

The vibe is clean and modern, but still cozy. You’ll want to linger.

The croissant? Buttery, flaky, textbook perfection. But the cruffin flan… ohhh. Absolute showstopper. When you cut into it, there’s this delicious sweet cream that oozes out, all warm and melty like it was crafted by dessert angels. Easily one of my favorite pastries ever.

Loved it so much, we came back. That...
