Grano Dorado / Evolèt - Café Restaurante — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

I was in Lima a few days ago and decided to visit this place based on the amazing reviews—but honestly, I think those reviews are just clickbait to get people through the door. The coffee is not specialty at all, despite how they promote it. It tastes like any regular coffee.

What’s worse, the same person who serves the coffee is also the one collecting dirty dishes and washing them. That’s a serious hygiene issue and a clear case of cross-contamination that could make people sick.

The waiters were actually very kind and attentive, but we also witnessed a woman yelling at the kitchen staff. I don’t know what kind of management they have, but it was very uncomfortable to watch and completely unprofessional. It’s the kind of thing you notice immediately and it really ruins the experience.

I would never recommend this place and I’m definitely not...

I went in for lunch and had the executive menu which includes a starter, main dish, drink, and dessert. My waitress was incredibly helpful, kind, and attentive. My papas ibéricas we're absolutely delicious and bode extremely well for the rest of my meal. I ended up deciding on the adobe and puree. The adobe was delicious but the potatoes were dry and flavorless. The fruit juice was delicious and my waitress kindly refilled my glass when she noticed it empty. The dessert was a key lime pie. As someone who is not a fan of pie, and least of all key lime, I was pleasantly surprised. Overall, a good meal with amazing service and a good atmosphere. Daniel was awesome!!! My wife and I took a few years of Spanish in High School/College - and Daniel gave us the chance to practice. Was very funny and helped us to navigate the menu.

Mixto (ham and cheese sandwich) came with coffee and juice - but the sandwich came out a little cold. The coffee was pretty solid, but nothing to write home about.

My wife ordered the granola bowl - which was very fresh and also came with coffee and juice.

We walked around the boutique upstairs which had some fashionable items, but none we liked...
