Perfect place to stay in Lima! Staff were the among the best & kindest we’ve ever had anywhere we’ve stayed. They took care of us like family for our first time out of our home country. They had the room ready early which was so needed after 24hours of travel. When I might have needed to stay longer before departure, they happily accomodated our personal needs. Breakfast was homestyle with the most delicious bread & fresh Peruvian juice. They gave us as much clean water as we required, which eased our travel dehydration. They provide ozone water, so bacteria, viruses and contaminants are not a concern here. Hot drinks are provide at all hours, the compounds is extremely secure and comfortable, night is quite and I slept better here than anywhere else we stayed while in Peru. They even provide traditional wool blankets and top quality Peruvian cotton comforters. I honestly cannot believe the quality of service & comfort for the price. Extremely affordable!! Recommend eating at Restaurante Contraste around the corner. They are a high end, hole in the wall, fine dining spot with sustainably sourced local ingredients and an amazing 6 or 8 course tasting menu, family owned & operated.
This location & hotel is seriously a gem!! You should not be...
Read moreOur first time staying at a hostel, and El Patio Hostal exceeded all expectations! We had a private room with an ensuite bathroom and a cozy outdoor patio. The room was well-equipped with a kitchenette, including a microwave, small fridge, and thoughtful touches like a pitcher of water and an electric kettle. The room had great lighting and a ceiling fan, and although it was chilly at night, we stayed warm under the blankets.
The front desk offered excellent customer service - we borrowed a hairdryer and an adapter with no problem and was always responsive by WhatsApp. Our room was cleaned daily, which was a nice touch, and breakfast was included each morning and was delightful. Fresh coffee, tea, juices, bread with butter and jellies, scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, and even a tasty olive tapenade were available. We also appreciated the packed breakfast they prepared for our early departure at 4:45 am when we went on a tour to Paracas and Huacachina.
We felt safe and enjoyed exploring the area, thanks to their great restaurant recommendations. I even got to try the Peruvian drink Chicha for the first time! Overall, we loved our stay and would highly recommend El Patio Hostal for anyone looking for a comfortable and...
Read moreGreat place! I kind of felt like I was in Spain. You have a room but you also have access to the patios which make you feel like you are in a villa..a little like that. The rooms are fine and the guests that I met are friendly and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The location for Miraflores is perfect. A 5 minute walk and you are central Miraflores but you are on a quiet enough street. Right across the street is a great restaurant with good prices and fun, live music. The one thing I wish was better was the internet speed and connectivity but that seems to be a problem no matter where I went in Peru. Mostly, it's finding a location (if you have a lap top/they also have a dedicated internet computer or 2) on one of the patios which has very comfortable places to do internet. A...
