Kio's Chicharronería — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

The food is pretty good. The service today was terrible. I’m visiting Peru and speak some Spanish but some words are foreign to me. This seemed to annoy the woman at the register when I asked her what some of the words meant. She was also speaking very low and I could not understand her through her mask. I had to ask her several times to repeat herself but she kept talking in a low volume. After taking my order she said it’ll be 10-15 minutes so my son and I sat and waited. 15 minutes passed and I asked her if the food was ready, she said she would check, walked to the back where there was a young man (the cook?) who handed her two bags. She said something to the young man, left the bags, and walked back to where I was standing to grab menus and then went to a table of folks who had just walked in. After about two minutes the young man was still standing by the counter with the bags so he grabbed them, brought them over to me and apologized. We confirmed it was my order and left. Comida muy rica, local descuidado y sucio, y el servicio peor que el local... Primero: habian 3 mesas cercanas y libres, pero solo eran mesas de 2 personas y nosotros eramos 4, asi que nos juntaron dos mesas y quedo una libre. La mesa estaba sucia y llena de grasa pegada de hace mucho tiempo, pedimos que la limpien y nos dijeron que estaba manchada y que no salía, pero sobando un poco con un papelito sale esa grasa pegada. Entiendo que los mozos no deban hacer ese trabajo, pero deberia haber un personal de limpieza para que los mozos se dediquen a atender mejor. Segundo: nosotros hicimos un pedido rapido, ya sabiamos que pedir, luego de esperar un rato, sirven los platos a la mesa que estaba vacia y que se ocupó despues de la nuestra (la misma mesa que quedó vacía cuando ingresamos) y cuando reclamamos nos dijeron que llegaron antes que nosotros... osea yo estoy mintiendo Tercero: Pedimos un limito al jugo y un kiollazo para dos y del kiollazo solo nos traen un pan y un cafe, le dijimos que falta un pan mas y un cafe mas, nos dicen, es que en el kiollazo para dos solo viene un pan y un cafe... preguntamos, estas segura???... si nos respondieron... en el kiollazo para 4 vienen 4 panes panes y 4 cafes, pero en el kiollazo para dos solo viene un pan y un cafe... luego nos replica... a mi tambien me parecio raro por eso he preguntado adentro y me han confirmado que solo viene un pan y un cafe, es decir, no conoce su carta, me dice que ha preguntado y me insiste que yo estoy equivocado, asi que tuve que traer la carta y mostrarle que estaba equivocada...

Felizmente el desayuno estuvo rico, y el lomito al jugo estuvo super super delicioso, pero si regreso de verdad que lo haria con miedo de que me tilden nuevamente de mentiroso o de que no se leer o de que no se lo que...

Use to go to San Miguel for this sandwich. Glad i can stay in Miraflores for it now.

Great place to have pan con chicharrón!

I've been to several chicharronerias in Perú, but this one is one of my favorites. The other places barely give you any meat and almost no sweet potatoes. Their smoothies are super good too, I had the papaya with pineapple (5/5) and the surtido (5/5). Their coffee is also really good.

You can come here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Definitely a must have...
