Our go-to restaurant in Aguas Calientes. I read many reviews and ended up here early in my three-day trip to Aguas Calientes. We were glad we tried it because the food and service were great and the portions were larger than some of the other highly-rated restaurants in town (pricing was similar to others). The decor is sparse and formal looking, but we were very comfortable. We were helped by three different staff members over our three visits, all of whom spoke English well. They only have a few tables downstairs, but they have a second floor which is larger than the first, so there is more here than meets the eye. Restrooms were very clean, too). We ate from the lunch menu twice (burgers, empanadas, french fries) and the dinner menu once (a few different pasta dishes, which were large enough that we did not quite finish them). Everything, including the warmed brownie, was very good. I definitely...

It included lunch at Apu Inti right after doing the Machu Picchu ruins. We got back to aguas calientes early and decided to go to the restaurant at 11:30, 30 minutes before our reservation. Place was empty and we politely asked if we can be server early. They said no, they have another group of 40 coming. We will ve served after 2pm. We asked why? We booked this very early in advance. They were rude, rush our order in as bad manner. We felt like they just want to get rid of us quick. We understand how tourism works but also is important to keep good service. Food was good but the after taste of the experience was sour. We got seated but not a good experience. There are plenty of other...
Read moreWe came here two days in a row for breakfast. First day had satisfactory service, kind of. The meal was decent, so we decided to come back the next morning (today). Girl who served us today was extremely unfriendly, and took 20 minutes to serve our coffees (and we were the only customers). She was watching TV, behind the counter. It seemed she was annoyed that we were here. Then, when we got our omelets, we asked for the same salsa we got the morning prior, and she argued that they don't have anything like what we describe as salsa or pecante. After she brought us back ketchup and mayo, we asked if she could ask the cook if maybe he knows what we mean. Finally she came back with the correct thing, but seemed really annoyed. We won't be back. Also they...
