We ordered the Aji de Gallo with extra rice and decided to split it as the guy out front assured us that it was enough to share between 2 people. It was good although a smaller portion than most other restaurants. Everything was fine until we were almost halfway through and realized that there was a hair in the food. It was obviously not anyone's at our table. The server happened by at almost the same time we noticed it and at first he said it was probably something that blew in from outside. I pulled it out in front of him and it was very obviously a hair that came from the kitchen. He immediately took the food away without us having to ask and then came back after 8 or so minutes. He said it was obviously their fault so to make it up they'd give us a free ice cream- we said we were hungry and wanted food. He said no problem and that they'd remake it. After 15+ minutes he came back with an incredibly small plate-the rice portion was about 2 bites with no chicken and very little sauce. It was almost laughable. The server was very kind and apologetic but essentially made it clear they wouldn't do anything for us. When we went to pay, the lady up front tried to overcharge us for the extra rice and then rolled her eyes in front of us when I said that our server- and the menu said it was less. The server walked by and when asked he responded with the correct price. She was very rude and kept whispering to her coworker. From what we saw, the owner of the restaurant was there the entire time and was the one calling the shots on how to handle the situation. Overall a disappointing and unfortunate experience. The server and guy outside may be nice but...
Read moreYou can tell the chefs in the kitchen enjoy their work. The food is delicious- truly delicious. This was the best meal I have had in days. Peruvian spices but not too much salt. I had the empanadas for my breakfast. The meat was perfectly cooked with some diced onions and potatoes. The bread was crispy on the outside and a perfect bread consistency throughout. The view is amazing and our waiter Roberto was attentive and also spoke perfect English. Our food came out fast but we were not rushed and they have free WiFi. The dining area is clean, spacious and very comfortable. I love this place. We will for sure eat another meal here today before leaving...
Read moreWe were recommended this place by our Machu Picchu guide, who told us it was really good and that we definitely had to try it. Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. We ordered the 40 soles menu â the soup was just water with pieces of meat, completely tasteless. In the lomo saltado, the meat was very tough and the fries were cold. The waiter was friendly but not very attentive, as he was more focused on watching the soccer match on TV, he forgot to bring us the drinks and cutlery. My partner ordered a causa, which was okay, but the ajĂ de gallina didnât taste good. Sadly, a...
