Pizza Nick & Nate's — Restaurant in Paracas

Very disappointing experience, ended up going to the tienda across the road for a bag of chips because the food was so bad it was inedible.

After being told they weren't serving pizza (despite the fact that everyone else was being served pizza) we ordered a burrito and tomato pasta (the only vegetarian option). After a long wait we were delivered the wrong food, twice! Eventually I got my burrito. The burrito was the wrong filling, and quite small, but after waiting so long I decided to let it slide. 10 min later, the pasta arrived.

The pasta horrible, worst I’ve ever tasted in a restaurant. It tasted like tinned spaghetti. I’m pretty sure it was a packet bought sauce over pasta - and when we later told the waiter this he did not disagree. There was no effort to make it taste like it came out of a restaurant kitchen. To make it worse it was lukewarm.

When we complained about the pasta the waiter apologised, removed the uneaten food and brought us the bill. After paying the full bill we were told by the waiter we complained to "the pasta wasn't a good choice and you should have the pizza next time". When we told him we were told there was no pizza he looked very perplexed. Either way, if the pasta isn't good why is it being served? And if you have a customer who has complained, not eaten their food, and you agree that the food is bad, why still...

It had been a long day and I wanted to grab a quick bite. From someplace that was close.

I decided to try Nick & Nates. They had tables but were fairly crowded. I figured that was a good sign.

I was wrong. I should have gone with my gut and visited the other restaurant I had in mind. Instead of not wanting to walk the distance.

Service was good. Considering as with most places there was 1 person taking orders, making drinks, serving food, etc.

I had their Pisco Sour and Chilca(?). They were the worst I have had in Peru. They were kind of okay but I would not order one again from here.

The papa frites came out perfectly cooked and were very good.

The first couple of bites of the Carne Asada Burrito were good but then went downhill. It was not bad but again just okay.

The atmosphere & decorations are cold, sterile, and boring.

Ok ok, my partner did not want to come here because of the conflicting reviews, but the prices were good, they had 2x1 pisco sours, and it was my turn to chose. Well, I had to admit I was wrong. Her pizza came out 20 min before my burger, and it looked like it was microwaved….def pre-made. The pisco sours didn’t have real egg white, but they weren’t horrible. Finally my burger came and it was raw. Got it back 10 minutes later crispy hard. I only ate half. It was a lost cause this night...
