The reason why there are so many pizzerias in Puno is because locals love them!… And me too! Apparently its the pizza capital of Peru! So as soon as I arrived here I rush to this highly recommended artisanal pizzeria and was not disappointed! Pizzas here are traditionally cooked in a wood oven which makes them perfect. Thin crust. You must go for the large size because they are so good (large here is equal to small back home in Canada). I actually had 2 medium sized pizzas and finally felt replenished! I had the supreme and the Ekekos and both were delicious. This place has many other items on the menu… not just pizza but rhey are specialized in local dishes. They also make a very good pisco sour that goes surprisingly well with pizza! The waiter was very friendly and helpful. To make it more weird, they sprinkled Italian dried herbs...like the ones you get on a pizza. Please just take this...

Surprisingly, they had ham on both pizzas. I brought this to the notice of the waitress who was quite surprised and she escalated this to the chef. Sadly, not a single staff member walked up to the table to offer an apology or an alternative option, we had to toss the ham away from the...
