I’m back with another food adventure, and this time I discovered a hidden gem in Angeles City – Fragrant Thai restaurant ! 🇹🇭🥰

I had been craving some good Thai food 🇹🇭, and after hearing rave reviews, I knew I had to try it out.🤭🫣

When we arrived, there was a bit of a parking challenge since the space is limited (it’s near ABC Hotel), but as soon as we stepped inside, it was a whole different vibe. The restaurant is surprisingly spacious, neat, and the interior design gives off a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Despite it being past lunchtime, there were already several diners, which is always a good sign!

The staff greeted us with smiles, and the owner, with her charming and cute face, made us feel right at home. 😍

Now, let’s dive into the food!

We started with the 𝐏𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐘𝐀 𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐃, a Thai classic, and it didn’t disappoint. The zingy, spicy, savory, and sweet combination was a perfect introduction to the meal. I’d give it a solid 10/10.

Next up was the 𝐌𝐔 𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐓𝐎𝐊. This dish is everything you love about Thai food – spicy, fresh, and bursting with herbs, with a tangy lime juice dressing. The pork fillet steaks were perfectly juicy, making it another 10/10.

Then came the star of the show for me – 𝐏𝐀𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐈. This was authentic, no shortcuts. The noodles were cooked to perfection, the sauce had the right balance of sweet, savory, and tangy, and the texture was spot on. Honestly, this Pad Thai deserves more than a 10 – it’s a 10,000/10 for me!

We also ordered the 𝐓𝐎𝐌 𝐘𝐔𝐌 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐅𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐂𝐎𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐔𝐓 𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐊, and let me tell you, it was incredible. The broth was rich, salty, tangy, and fragrant with just the right amount of umami, while the coconut milk added a thicker, creamier dimension. Another 10/10 dish.

For our rice dish, we had the 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐅𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐓𝐎𝐌 𝐘𝐔𝐌 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐃 𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐄. It was packed with exotic flavors that were so addictive, we couldn’t stop eating. This is the kind of dish you crave again and again – 10/10.

We also couldn’t resist the 𝐆𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐈𝐂 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐃 𝐒𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐌𝐏. The shrimp were juicy and stir-fried in a sweet, umami sauce with chunks of soft garlic. Every bite was a burst of flavor – another 10/10.

Finally, we had the 𝐏𝐀𝐃 𝐊𝐇𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐎 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐅𝐎𝐎𝐃, also known as Thai Drunken Noodles with Seafood. Spicy, fragrant with Thai basil, and loaded with seafood, it was flavorful and well-balanced. No complaints here – another 10/10!

To top it all off, we tried their signature drinks, and we loved them too. Refreshing and a perfect match to the meal.💯👌🏻

Even my daughters, who aren’t typically fans of Thai food, ended up loving everything just as much as I did!

The food was really good and affordable. I used to like this restaurant since very authentic yung lasa nya. However we had experienced recently a not so nice attitude with some of the staffs.

We came there to celebrate our anniversary with my relatives. I made a reservation at 7pm and we came a bit early around 6:30pm. They took my order and I specifically told the waitress that my relatives are still on the way and to please serve the food at 7pm. She said it is ok. After few minutes she came to me and telling me that they need to put the food in the table cause it’s already cooked. I told her nobody will eat and i reminded her that i specifically told her to serve at 7pm. But they insist and came to me 3 times telling me their boss is already furious. And i can see from my seat the angry expression from their faces specially the girl with the blond hair (the boss maybe??). To make the story short, they serve the food without my guests and we ate a bit cold dishes when they came.

I thought we were done with the commotion. But their attitude was really unacceptable. We ask to change the water in the pitcher since there are white particles floating on it. You can see from the face of this waitress that she was unhappy and making side whispers while doing our request. Even the time we ask to pack our left over food i can feel the attitude.

I’m not saying customers are always right. But as a paying customer, I deserve a better service than this. After this terrible experience, I still leave them some tip for the nice and delicious food. But I’m not sure if I will...

This is a must try if you are in Angeles! As an English tourist I was looking for something with a decent range of options that would excite my tastes as most of the Philippine food on offer in the area has no real flavour and is packed full of salt!! I would highly recommend this place. The staff are friendly the establishment is very clean and it has a nice comfortable atmosphere. I also introduced my Pinay partner to the flavours and she also loved the fresh, vibrant tastes. We loved it so much we actually re-visited before I travelled back to England. I will definitely be visiting again when I return. You will leave this establishment very full and very content and it’s well worth the price.
