La Bodega Wine + Tapas — Restaurant in Angeles

Easily the 2nd best restaurant in Angeles and it's close to being the best. A little hidden away and further up the road than most tourists venture. I've lived here for 7 years and have only been here a handful of times. Every time I go I keep kicking myself for not eating here more often. After last night's meal this will change. This is the best kept secret in Angeles. The place should be packed every night. Inside seating is sparse but there is a large, outdoor covered patio. If wine is your thing, you will want to eat and drink here. The tapas menu is just large enough, the servings just the right size and I'll gladly wait for my dishes to be cooked up...

Tapas and wine place. The wine price is very reasonable considering the very nice, cozy and upscale ambiance. The cheese platter was good specially the Ewephoria cheese. A cheese made from sheeps milk and not from cow's milk. It tastes delicious. The chorizo de bilbao tapas was also good. The hummus was not so good. I guess it needed more seasoning or more tahini. Food price is a bit high for the serving size though but then again the ambiance of the place...

A rare find in the bustling food nest of Angeles City’s risqué stretch. The place serves just the right amount of privacy which is hard to find these days and that simply gives this the edge.
