Paizano's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Angeles

Update as of 2025Sept20: I really do not know what has happened to service and quality in the past 5-years. Prices fluctuate, competency has decreased, as well as quality. One reason I find is a lack of communication and training of staff & management. My children have observed the same. They were born & raised in the Philippines, but even they are unsure of what type of meal will be served or delivered. This not just Paizano’s resto. It’s everywhere in Pampanga. There are a few restaurant that still maintains quality and service. Ensuring customers’ request to the kitchen would be a great 1st step. 2nd step: ensuring quality ingredients are stocked and used in preparing items ordered from menu. We are apprehensive about ordering food from Paizano because of several errors in the past 4-years with a number of them occurring in the last year.

A little more than an hour after ordering a pizza and it was still showing being prepared, My wife called and was I formed they were waiting for the driver to show up, even after they could not reach him on his phone. They then stated they would get another driver. 20 minutes later the pizza arrived and the app still showed being prepared. When the pizza arrives we were already on the phone with them AGAIN and informed them the Pizza was cold. The person on the phone requested the pizza to be given back to the driver, he will bring it back to the restaurant and “they would warm it up”. I formed them that was BS and we will never order from them again. Why does anybody think it’s ok to give a customer a rewarded pizza when a fresh one was ordered and expected? As a native New Yorker (Brooklyn) I felt compelled to throw down a review since they say they’re authentic New York style Pizza

I’ve been in the Philippines for a year so I have some context for pizza here.

The short:

Atmosphere: 1 out of 10. Place is a dump and the (owner maybe) screams into her phone (when taking orders) like she’s the national champion

Caesar Salad - 5 out of 10. Totally ‘meh’ with packets of dressing

Pizza (rated by Filipino standards): Choices of toppings and freshness 9 Crust: 9 Cheese 7.5 almost an 8 Pepperoni: 5 (wtf is it?) Sauce: 6 (sweet Pinoy style)

Bonus: they have root beer
