I sent a message on their FB page for a reservation on a Friday night. It was so easy to reserve seats. They will be confirming with a message. We arrived on time and were ushered to our seat. I ask the server what his recommendations were and we liked them all. I ordered the salpicado (medium rare) and it is very tender and flavorful. It comes with a soup of the day which they split into two for me and my husband and just the right amount of garlic rice. My husband ordered the lengua, and it comes with either rice or mashed potato. He chose the mashed potato. It is also tender and flavorful. Since we rarely consume alcohol (the server suggested that we order wine), we ordered freshly squeezed lemonade and mango juice. They did not disappoint. The restaurant has a very nice ambiance because of its interiors and because of Ms. Aquila who is softly playing the piano. Later on, she sang and it we enjoyed her set so much! I ended up standing and taking a video of her singing and performing because she is very talented and has a lovely and calming voice. If you want to experience dining here while listening to her, you need to check her and Mario's FB pages for their schedule. Afterwards, we ordered cake and tea. We were so full and satisfied. The servers are all very nice, attentive and helpful.

It's been a while since my last visit to Mario's. I went recently because I got too excited when I saw a friend's post on her social networking site. Her post was an ad of Mario's Merienda All You Can. I got so excited because I began thinking about their lasagna, cordon bleu, toffee sansrival, and all other cakes and pastries I used to enjoy at Mario's. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with the taste and the amount of serving of the food. Yes, it was "All-you-can-eat" but the choices we had on the day we visited were TOO few and each time we asked for our plate to be refilled the waiting staff will tell us that this and that are no longer available and if it's okay will be replaced by another food. The same happened each time we asked for our plates to be refilled. While sharing my experience to some friends, I found out that they had the same experience and were actually more disappointed than I was. Service was good but the food was not really worth the money we spent.a

Went on a weekday lunch, party of 5; service was fast and attentive prob because not too busy. Ambiance was very nice with huge windows directly overlooking the mountain vista. I told waitstaffs repeatedly to serve our orders all at the same time because we're 'peasants' and not sticklers of formality but still they served food in succession: appetizers, soup, salads then pasta and mains, with pauses on each courses despite my constant proddings for them to serve all simultaneously. By the time they served the soup and salad we're feeling full. We were famished initially but wolfing down the first and second courses was unavoidable. Food was ok. They gave free slice of cake with dedication to my niece who is celebrating her graduation. Bill came up to about 6k; we bagged the leftovers.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Great restaurant in a new location. Very nicely decorated inside. The outside lanai (terrace/patio) seating is very nice with a beautiful view. We were allowed to bring our small dog out to the patio. The food is very good. I especially liked the Gambas de Aljito (not sure if that's spelled correctly, but it was great!). Their Mario hamburgers are excellent. Great selection of smoothies, beers and mixed drinks. Definitely a place to visit for a nice afternoon or evening meal. Great parking area. Easy to get to via taxi since it's just past Nevada Square. Staff was excellent. Definitely will return for another great meal. Lastly, in November, Mario's has an Amerikano style Thanksgiving dinner that is "bust da lips good" as we say in Hawaii. If you are an ex-pat Amerikano it is a "must attend" dinner. Fantastic buffet style layout with all the old favorite Amerikano dishes. ...
