Zushi Me — Restaurant in Baguio

"Zushibarashi!"

I just happened to stroll in front of this place and almost missed it because it is at the basement establishment. I was searching for a brunch place and decided to whip my phone. And of course, as a courtesy to passerbys I went to the side and happened to see the sign. It got good reviews, so down the rabbit hole we go.

The interior of the resto is cutely decorated and inviting enough. Black Garlic Ramen caught my eye, and for just about $6 USD, that's just a meager price to pay for a bowl of ramen.

The servers are polite and prompt.

The ramen's serving, while not as big as the chain resto's like Nagi's, is good enough for the price I would say. And tastewise, it tastes like authentic ramen like those I ate in Japan. And this one tastes better than those at Japan airport and a lil cheaper too.

Food was actually yum, BUT we had to wait 30 minutes for our order. The thing is, no one informed us beforehand that it would take that long. When I asked if service is always that slow, the staff said it was because they were preparing a big sushi platter for another customer. The place wasn’t even that busy, so a simple heads-up would’ve been nice. What added to the frustration was that after our little inquiry, the staff (a girl) went back to the kitchen and started laughing around with the others. We ordered just ramen and dongatsu. And we’ve got food after almost 30mins. I asked reason why food is slow. The answer was there is order which is sushi platter. At that moment, there were only two table include us. Shouldn‘t they have let us know information in advance if the cooking time was extended? When I went to ask about the progress, the chef working in the kitchen which is woman looked at me and smiled. We were so upset and looking the kitchen that woman kept laughing while we paying. What was so fun and happy.. Even more they accept only cash!!HAHAHAHA It made us feel bad more.
