Feedback on Poor Service and Food Quality – Need for Immediate Improvement
Dear Restaurant Management,
I would like to share my recent dining experience at your establishment, which unfortunately fell far below expectations in both service and food quality. While my Wife the two Kids and I were initially greeted warmly by the host and seated promptly, the service deteriorated significantly afterward.
Key Concerns: Neglected Service: After being seated, no staff attended to our table to provide cutlery, water glasses, or basic table setup—despite these being standard in any dining environment. Notably, neighboring guests (who arrived later) received proper setup immediately, making us feel overlooked. Even when our food arrived, we still lacked essentials, forcing to wait till they set the table up.
Inconsistent & Discriminatory Treatment: As a hospitality professional myself (a waiter on an international cruise ship), I understand busy periods, but I would never disregard guests based on perceived tipping potential. The staff’s focus on select tables was evident and unacceptable.
Subpar Food Quality: The dishes tasted bland and appeared reheated, lacking freshness or care in preparation. For the price point, this was deeply disappointing.
Recommendations for Improvement Staff Training: Reinforce equal treatment of all guests, emphasizing attentiveness (e.g., ensuring cutlery/water is provided before meals). Quality Control: Revisit food preparation standards—freshness and flavor are non-negotiable for a reputable restaurant.

They added food starters and free soup on today’s visit and I think that’s great. The service water now doesn’t taste like something that has gotten the taste and smell of the refrigerator. The food items are now in bigger portions. Also, Gerry’s always had the best halo-halo in the Philippines after having tasted so many halo-halos here and abroad. The staff were all accommodating and attentive, making sure our table had everything we needed. Service was fast, and we really appreciated their warm smiles and friendly attitude throughout our meal.
