Cafe Georg — Restaurant in Cebu City

I was so SAD to see MULTIPLE dishes on the menu serving parrot fish ("molmol" in the local dialect/lingo). This fish protects the coral reefs. The Philippines is rich in marine life and the coral reef system is essential in that underwater environment. And no, do not say that you are only buying what's already caught because as a business owner, you should know the relationship of demand vs. Supply. It's demand of the market that drives the suppliers to produce their goods and not the other way around. So as long as you offer it on the menu, the demand keeps going and your supplier keeps catching those fishes.

I ordered the some kind of sandwhich (yes, forgettable) with a side of salad which was just average at best. The sandwhich was dry, the salad lacked dressing and flavor but the Parrot fish dishes on the menu really left a bad taste in my mouth. Told my family and friends about their menu and I was surprised that they were aware about it already and it'sthe reason that they stopped dining here at Cafe George because they do not want to support a business that's.environmentally irresponsible. I mean, even small-scale restaurants no longer serve Parrot Fishes since news (and yes, it was announced!) broke out about their importance in keeping our coral reefs alive and healthy) but nope, not at Cafe George! My Pasta Haven 🍝 Cafe George has always been my go-to restaurant whenever I’m craving pasta. They offer a wide variety of dishes on their menu, but their pasta? Never disappoints. Here are some of my all-time favorites:

🥣 Spinach & Cheese Dip – 10/10
My ultimate favorite! Creamy, flavorful, and perfect for sharing (or not!). 🥗 Caesar Salad – 10/10

Customer service is horrendous. When the food was about to be served and the waitress said "pork belly" i stretched out my hand hinting that it was for me. The waitress for about to give it to me then a second later decided to take back the order and asked if "nag order mo o wala?" How rude is that? And when i kindly asked for the managers attention for feedback so she would know the state of their restaurant's non existent customer service practices, I was told she didnt want to deal with anything. The fact that the manager/owner needs to be reminded how important customer feedback is and that we are not nuisances but customers is ridiculous. Never going to eat there anyway. I find the food mediocre yet overpriced. Its your prerogative not to face customers but this review is my own. Thanks for the horrible dining experience. I hope you learn your lesson...
