Chowking Cebu One Mango — Restaurant in Cebu City

Worst Chowking branch I've been to. Doesnt deserve even a 1 star.

First visit: Manager (or QC officer, as I heard) yelling at some old lady who complained that her dish did not taste well while I was there waiting for 40 minutes just to have my halo-halo. Imagine waiting 40 freaking minutes for a small halo-halo while someone was in the background yelling.

Second visit: I had 2 pieces of chicken to-go. Waited again for almost an hour when the lady told me it would just take 15 minutes. Was starving at that time and walked quite far from where I was staying. When the order finally arrived, I went home right away only to find out the styro they put the chicken in had holes that looked like they were bitten by rats! So I had to go back and have them refunded while my stomach was growling in pain. The manager was very unapologetic and still had the nerve to explain that it was due to the heat from the newly cooked dish.

Third visit: Bought siopao to-go and asked for ketchup. The lady wouldn't give me an extra sachet and commanded me (take note: commanded ha!) to just get from the condiments area. Wala nga lang pls! Wow.

I am never going back to any Chowking branch. I gave you 2 more chances and this just goes to show how your workers are very poorly...

Your fastfood option when you are craving for some Chinese foodstuff. They offer hot clear soup, which are perfect to have when you're kinda tipsy from alcohols you drank in the bars and night clubs across the street. For snacktime, I love their Choco Pao, which is siopao or bun filled with chocolate. Make sure to eat it while it is still hot to enjoy that chocolate goey goodness. The restaurant is small though, so it may be a challenge to find a table. There are dining tables outside, but I kind of don't want to recommend it because there are some mischievous mendicant children who might approach you when security...

NEVER come to this Chowking during peak times like lunch or dinner. I ordered at 11:59, i receved my order around 12:40. And i've been followin up my order multiple times! The waiters were mostly just nodding but didn't care. Except this one dude who was in charge of wiping the tables, i noticed he was the only one who was proactive and really took my receipt back to the counter. A few moments after, my order came. But it wasn't even hot anymore. Def one of the worst chowking experiences Ive ever had, and I've been to busier...
