Looking for a chicken joint that you want to just feel at home? This place is for you! The food is good—my friends even said they want to visit this place again; and this place got this homey vibe that you can actually stay there for hours and just chat with your friends. The place, I believe, was originally a residential house located along some food joints and social establishments in Mabolo, thus it was, I think, a good decision to convert the place into a hub where people enjoy good food, music, and hospitality. And speaking of hospitality, I had a very embarassing experience here which I can never forget. It was my birthday and I was invited to perform here for a second anniversary celebration of a local music and arts group. We had musical performances by some well-known musicians in Cebu and art expos in between presentations. So, when this certain local artist performed his songs, which really made me so hyped up because that song was our anthem when we were in sixth grade, I threw my hands up in the air, just in time when a staff served my friend's extra rice. It was hilarious to recount the event. He went on catching the perfectly shaped one cup of rice— but it happened. I was petrified and all my energy went down and shattered, with the rice. I was asking sorry the whole time and offered I will pay for the damage, but the staff insisted that all was fine. He assured me that it could certainly happen because we were celebrating, that it was a mere accident. He got on with it and served my friend with another cup of extra rice. Everytime he passed by our table, he would smile at me and would pat my back to assure me that it was alright. See, this is a good indication that a place is good to be hanging around beacuse the staff is kind, the place is cozy and has a homey aura, and they offer great acoustic music. They support local and home grown talents, too! What more could...
Read moreAny prior rating is RIDICULOUS. How this place receives more than 2 stars is beyond me. This was the worst food served in Philippines. Beer was lukewarm. Servers had no knowledge of menu (I asked for NOT fried chicken and I got, yup, fried chicken). Date order fried chicken and got fried chicken feet. Seriously...? Fml. When disgust was expressed, rude wait said "that's what you ordered" I didn't touch the food out of fear to catch diarrhea. I didn't express further displeasure coz I would have called the waiter a douch bag. Save your wallet and stomach. Oh and there was smoking inside too. Pretty gross when you're trying to eat. If loud early 2000's rap/hip hop is your thing, then this...
