Generally I have enjoyed this place as there is decent food and both outside and air conditioned indoor seating
Today I clumsily knocked over my full glass of watermelon juice - all over the table. And me 😂. The staff were very helpful and I ordered a replacement.
I was pretty sure I knew what was coming, and was right.
The bill included 2 juices. Strictly, it's correct
But I just point this out in the hope that eventually we can guide Filipino businesses to try to understand 'lifetime customer value'. Most of them don't.... They live for every peso 'today' 😂
I have spent about 2,500 peso here as a regular customer. I would have spent the same again.
Had they extended a customer service courtesy and just replaced my juice for free, it would have earned my praise.
It would have cost them what, 30 pesos?
Now, as a point of principle I will not return again, and it's cost them 2,000. Or maybe more if this review has any impact
🙂 But STILL....... they won't get it...... 🤷🏻♂️ But the more we train them with our feet, actually, the bigger favour we do them

Read moreI visited Gusto Gelato + Bistro for ice cream today at 4pm. While I was having my cold treat and seated in one of the outdoor tables, I noticed one of the employees spraying insect pesticide over the customers' food and drinks placed on the prep area behind the ice cream counter. I was really surprised to see that and confronted the employee and told him this is really bad behaviour. He responded, "it's for the fly, sir". I was really shocked to hear that, as it gives an indication this is a common practice in this shop. I have taken a photo of the insect killer can which was used in spraying over food in the ice cream food prep area, and it has all sort of health warnings. Some customers today unwillingly got extra (harmful) ingredient they didn't order. There needs to be a review of how to apply insecticide in the food preparation area for...
Read morecontext We were looking for a restaurant, after several attempts. We had no more cash on us. After 3 attempts to withdraw cash from ATMs that didn't work or didn't have any notes, we started looking for a restaurant that accepts Visa and Mastercard. We both ordered the lasagne.
Positive Aspects : a) The restaurant accepts Visa and Mastercard at no extra charge. (Quite rare in El Nido) b) Quality of welcome in the restaurant. c) Simple and minimalist decoration. d) Air conditioning and fan on the floor. e) Bright restaurant in a good location. f) The lasagne was very good.
Areas for Improvement : The red wine is too cold, an investment in an electric wine cellar is needed.
Suggestions for the Business/Establishment : The wine list could be improved.
Conclusion: Very good overall, I would recommend...
